Some conslusions:
1. Triangular sails are a huge disadvantage here, as enemy shells get stuck on them easily and set fire to the whole ship.
2. Flash fires and ammo detonations can change the way the battle develops massively and unexpectedly.
3. Making ships out of wood an phosforus is a bad idea.

Gotta wonder if this is the kinda stuff that Francis Drake saw when he was combating the Spanish Armada.

Technically what you made here are two "Hell burners". It was an old naval strategy where they loaded an empty ship with explosives and sent it straight at a fleet of ships. The objective being to try and set as many as possible on fire. Which should give you a good idea for staging a future battle.
I thought they were called bomb ships. This coming from Kings and Generals in the 18th century.
They were called Hell Burners by some (I think either the Dutch or Spanish called them that in the 1500 or 1600s, in their own language of course), fire ships, and for a time- bomb ships. Later, the term "Bomb ship" was also used to describe a ship with a heavy mortar as it's main weapon... If I remember correctly.
And i won't fall for it again!
Or as seen in the Spanish Armada, make ships drop their anchors and scatter breaking up the formation

Then the main batteries need to be mini flintlocks with the secondaries being those tiny match stick cannons.

They need to be floating. An anchor at both ends of each ship should keep them in place. Watching them sink as well as burn would look cool, an underwater camera to explore the sunken wrecks would be a bonus

how did you build the cannons?
I made several walls of different lengths and thicknesses, but my "muzzle" constantly wrinkled when heated and the match did not fly out. how did you avoid this?
