Yes it was a mighty battleship, that sank 3 battleships (Tegetthof, North Dakota and Florida) and 1 cruiser (Slikkerveer). Till now Jean Bart is the largest battleship, that took part in our battles.
The Jean Bart was severely damaged in 1942 at a Moroccan Dry Dock when the USS Massachusetts BB59 fired the first 16 in projectiles in anger by the USA in Operation Torch. The USS Massachusetts also fired the last 16in projectiles of the war in the Pacific against Japan.
In the uncut video it took 17 minutes from the hit in the magazine (between the secondairy turrets) till it sank. But that would have been to long for most viewers.
I like them too a lot! They are one of my favourites. The only thing not to like about them is that there are no main guns at the rear of the ship. On the other hand, the front of these ships look amazing! Better than the Nelson class in my opinion. I also like the South Dakota class and Bismarck class a lot. Despite that the Richelieu, Jean bart, Strasbourg and Dunkerque could not really show what they where worth during World War Two, they all where engaged in battles against other ships. And that is quite rare, especially in harbors.

De romp moet hol zijn van binnen zodat je daar de motor, accu's enzo kan plaatsen. Spanten zou je ongeveer 8 mm dik moeten maken. De opbouw kan je het beste maken van 3 mm dik multiplex. Dat geld ook voor de huid van de romp, wat recht is of niet extreem rond loopt. De delen die erg rond of bol zijn kun je het beste van balsa maken.

Inside the Jean Bart at the time where a lot of projectiles stored in the rear. That caused the huge fire at the rear of the ship. There are also others like the Strasbourg or Centurion that had a lot of projectiles inside when they caught fire and sunk.

Thanks! Yes, sometimes it hurts a bit, seeing it being destroyed, but that was the reason to film it. Eventually I put it on RUclips, so more people can watch and enjoy it.
Distance should be increased between the ships. Besides that, the government here forbade selling firecrackers because of Covid19. People would not keep enough distance during the new year and spread covid19. They also wanted to keep the IC for Covid19 patients, and not overload them for firecracker accidents.
The ship was mostly destroyed during the battle. The wreck had a lot of damage. The hull was also damaged too much to be economically repaired. Building a new one would be better. Chances are there, that eventually a larger ship will be build.
Plans are there to use fire crackers, since it has been requested many times. At the moment we have to wait till December to order them, since they are not allowed before the new year celebration.
You should make a aircraft carrier and you guys each get a turn to damage each other’s ships and if you miss the other person has to do it and put a little bit of some weaponry on it and shoot each other ships planes or guns

Ja dat klopt, de Jean Bart en Massachusetts zijn op schaal 1/95. Afmetingen van de opbouw en spanten waren goed geweest voor een echt modelschip. Courbet, Florida enz zijn ongeveer op schaal en de kleinere schepen zijn verzonnen. Zou anders te lang duren om te bouwen.

For the RVDMA Fleet it is the greatest battleship they have had (till now at least). The current fleets are not challenging the RVDMA Fleet, since their battleships are smaller and less powerful than Massachusetts.

There is a thin plastic cup upside down inside. Air remains in it, so that fire can burn through, to let te water in.

The hull was still mostly intact. The wreck was afterwards sunk in deeper water. The plan is to find the wreck and make a video of it this year.

After many battles, Admiral Kim Fai Chung's flagship was finally sunk.
