Completed Tech in 2016. Read law. A happy practicing lawyer in Ghana now. I had 4 four course mates from Nigeria. All girls. All practicing lawyers in Nigeria now. And honestly, nightlife at Tech is like no other. Glad you enjoyed Kumasi.

The problem with Nigeria is they are proud and do not learn good practices from other countries and think they know it all. They have allowed their huge population and huge proceeds from petro-dollars to think they have it all. But Ghana, on the other hand, tries to learn good practices from other countries especially from Europe and America and tries to replicate them in Ghana. Ghana tries to develop itself without noise and hold their leaders accountable. Governance in Ghana is about competition between the 2 key parties as to which of them have ideas and governs better. This isn't so in Nigeria.

Nigerian students, particularly females are finding stable-secure- safe environment for study and living- from the Ghana side of the fence they never knew existed.
It is for Nigerian leadership including traditional leadership to take a leaf and begin to build stable communities and societies. Nigerian leadership should also be humble to learn from best practices elsewhere. Running down Ghana as a show of Nigeiran patriotism is shallow-mindedness and pure crass. This should not happen from Nigerians especially males-because your female citizens are praising it. Women require safe spaces to flourish and the crinkum crankum of Nigeria does not offer that.
Ghana will be happy to learn from Nigeria if it sees the need to. However there is little for Nigeira to show and lead the way. Per capita terms Ghana leads Nigeria in every way. So it is not about numbers and Petro-dollars. It is about quality. And sadly when Ghana later found oil- we did not call on Nigeria to learn best practice- we went to Norway. That should be enough lesson. We have a Heritage fund from our oil proceeds for the unborn children . Sadly Nigeria has none and should be backtracking to copy from Ghana. There is no shame on learning what is best.

I think it is good to compare although s lot of people think differently.zwhsyver have to consider , zGhana after independence kept to the values of the West particularly Britain and so was very influenced by the educative attitude of the British .Nigeria, with a vast majority if Moslems took the trading and similar cultures if the Arabs So Nigeria had been emphasisingbin commerce, while Ghana took to civic ideas such as infrastructure, schools etc This is how Ghana became a civic country If Nigeria today sees the need for education, all they have to do is to lay down the structures for it I believe a country to be compared to Ghana should be like Kenia Ghana and Nigeria don't have a lot in common, they just happen to be together on the West Coast of Africa
