@OvadiaBenChaim Hi, I hope you are doing well and Chanukah Samayach. There is a Chassidic custom Not learning Torah on the NIGHT only as far as I know, so the day is fine. It doesn't apply to Sephardim, and not in Israel - this is how I remembered it and what I found on a reliable source online.
