- This is a special video, showcasing majority of Route Changers from angles that's out of bounds, close, far and aerial shots.
I do wish that the camera were a bit more slowers so I could show the route changers more smoothly but its what I have to work with.
Port Bridge is excluded due to the bridge not being there and only appears when triggered and Canyon's Dam crashes the game the moment I get close to it.

I love how Split Second is as much a race as it is a disaster movie
I've been a huge Split Second fan since it came out and I enjoyed watching this way too much. Please upload more big powerplays/route changers. I've always wanted to see the one in The Canyon from inside the dam when it explodes:)

Im absolutely stunned... 8 years ago I was CONSTANTLY trying to see the route changes from another perspective on the xbox 360. I even had to go backwards slowly slowly (so it wouldn't reset me) on split screen on xbox 360.
There is a free camera in the beta. Idk about the final, but I wanted to release it because I too wanted to see route changers from other angles.
this game is a masterpiece, it was in 2010 and still is. if only the sequel hadn’t been cancelled…
I'd love a sequel but at this point I'd pay rrp for a straight port (with all the dlc obvs) to Switch.

the VFX work effects are another level on this game, by 2010 this is a masterpiece by far

This game is extremely underated...I still play it a lot, but...I miss those Racing games where there's so much action going on, even if it's completely unrealistic.
That one, MotorStorm, Hydro Thunder Hurricane....I wish I could have all of those destructive racing games but...they are lost somewhere and I doubt that the developers are going to port it to PC :/
Maybe certain games were meant to stay on console, making it timeless I guess.
@@mraero01 It's bad sometimes because...the more time passes...more rare the games become...I guess that's a downside of enjoying all of those games :(

@SUP3RN0VA I know, I didn't mean it in the critic way, I love all that unrealism...the problem is...since the blast of so many simulator games nowadays...unrealistic games like this one are very rare

The Convention tower sounded so much different in the Beta
It has the same sound but there was no audio buildup to the collapse itself

And I even get to see the tilting aircraft carrier on Ferry Wharf

Oh! And as my alternative for seeing route changers in a different perspective(mostly on the final version on PC), I can plat Two player mode by myself to see the Route Changer's destruction on a player's point of view, while the other player activates the Route Change!
(I also did the same thing for some power plays such as the plane crash or the bridge destruction)
Imagine standing in front of the tower in Airport Terminal and it misses you by inches.
You'll get injured still or blown away by the debris

It's never noticeable because we would keep going.
The fact that they took the time to manually animate all of the fighter jets slowing drifting off the listing aircraft carrier that you probably wouldn't ever have the chance to see because you were going too fast tells me a lot of care was put into this game.
Indeed, besides certain areas being see through and a few breaks in the map, the game is still a gem.

@@mraero01 plane crash and power plant towers would be cool. Also I had no idea that there were birds in this game.
I think an interesting one to see specifically is the overpass in Expressway, I think that could provide some cool shots
@@numbersbubble yeaI didn't know either. Seagulls. So high up you can't see them when driving.
And for the Plane and Cooling Towers, sure. I can do that.
The game is amazing it would be good if there was a sequel though.

@@djl_cyber_yt well, there was a sequel planned, and was being worked on, but even though this game had amazing reviews, the sales were poor, so Disney decided to shut down Blackrock, this was also the case with Blur: good review, poor sales, Activision shuts down Bizzare Creations. Although, you can find alpha footage of both games on RUclips
@@yellowdude9425 That’s true. I might assume that Split Second 2 won’t be a reality unless Disney comes up with a plan to hire a new studio to work on Split Second.

I dont know. Like I said before, there is a lack of beta content for this game on RUclips and I wanted to post more of it.
You should do the other unique power plays next, I’d love to see the power plant fall, and see the highway blow up

They have made a mistake, because as soon as something crashes, the texture of the model immediately changes. For example the ship. Material switch should be animated so player can't see an instant change.
I think it was intentional. They make the normal model, then when the route changer switches, the model will become a "different" shade to compensate for the model change into the next or final phase

Is there a way to inject a free camera in the Final Split Second? There must be a Havok free camera injector somewhere, it will be interesting to compare the power plays with the Beta.

I used a free camera connected with a second controller. I can only do this in the Beta, no where else.

@@mraero01 Thank you for answering my question. I'm recreating some designs to replace the textures in the PSP version, and I came up with the idea of extracting the textures. I will try to extract the textures by downloading to the PC. Thanks!!
