0. Scroll down to the Futurerestore Linux section for the required stuff.
1. This guide should work on MacOS as well.
2. You can use both the .bshsh2 or .shsh2 blobs provided they are valid.
3. After setting the nonce if the screen is black, you can safely force it to recovery mode using buttons according to your device.

iPhone 8 Plus successfully downgrade. But the only one issue is the OTA Updates are broken. But good thing is we don’t need to install any OTA blocker.

You can easily upgrade to 16.6 without issues at all on X . With all those flags I used , use -U to upgrade to 16.6. . Make sure 16.6 blobs are valid? If yes then do it. You can also anytime downgrade from 16.7.5/16.7.6 to 16.6/16.6.1 with blobs even on X.

@@Miners_42 currently the binary for futurerestore which supports cryptex1 is for Linux or macos. Yes you can do this on windows when the binary is available for windows for cryptex1 version of Futurerestore.

Yes yes you can on 8/8+ no issues. If you have blobs do it.... A guide is on channel as well... The guide also tells how to fix unable to activate error which you will get going from 16 to 15 on 8/8+

Actually you need 16.6 or 16.6.1 blobs or the restore may succeed but you will get stuck at apple logo with a loading bar and have to restore fresh to the latest one. So I would say NO...

Actually if a exploit to set nonce is there still there is CRYPTEX1.... We have to see which versions are compatible with latest cryptex1 and no body wants to Risk it even if we can I guess set a nonce with dopamine.

Most welcome and yes, there is a chance of using downr1n.... To downgrade but I'll be testing it. Second is to use 16.7.6 which is the latest one to jailbreak using palera1n and enjoy.

Yes futurerestore is available on windows but not the branch we need to downgrade to 16.6/16.6.1.. You need either Linux or macos.
you know why my device saved blobs in tss server is bshsh2 but it's 0 bytes ?
One file will be 0 other should be 50kb. If all are 0 they are invalid :(

Hi. Is it possible to upgrade iPad 6 from 14.8 to 16.6 with SHSH?
As ipad 6 latest version is 17.x the cryptex1 from 17 isn't compatible with what that of 16.6 so in my theory the restore will succeed but the device will be stuck at apple logo. I would suggest staying at 14.8 and use taurine jailbreak

Yes the commands should work on macos as well. You don't have to restart USBMUXD on macos.

I have a windows futurerestore guide on channel as well but the issue is, despite the method is exactly the same , even the latest available futurerestore windows build doesn't yet support this kind of downgrade (cryptex1 supported ) it will likely be out too .

It needs Linux or macos... You can run futurerestore on windows as shown on channel but the binary which supports cryptex1 isn't available on windows yet.

No no the commands are different some may work some may give errors... So.... Not recommended to use easy install on macos. Run downr1n and then install missing packages is the best... I will also make easy install for MacOS if you want?

right i had to manually set nonce with dimento and after 15+ attempts i've successfully downgraded the ipad pro 9.7 cellular. i found a comment in mineeks guide and it pointed me in the right direction, its an a9x issue where future restore can't set its nonce

@@peacemaker-69 it is easy. If they are 50kb + they are valid mostly they are 70 kb.. if they are 48 kb n lower they are most probably invalid... Mine was 70 kb for 16.6. also bshsh2 and shsh2 both will work with this method.... No issues there as I tested both myself.
