Thanks! I have actually changed a lot since this video. Make sure you check out our latest videos to see how far the Jeep has come. Thanks for watching.
Yeah, most people who have commented agree with you. For me, I never liked them. It's impressive that they are actually functional, but I like the look better without them. Thanks for watching.
Looks way better, great job on that rear hatch handle. Love seeing the jeep videos just as much as the xb content. I'd love to see a series on you rebuilding that old skool BMX bike you got stashed on the top of the shelves. I know it's been there a while. Keep up the great work.
That Commander is really coming together. You have a very nice aesthetic. The big window is especially cool. Removing the clunky stuff really makes a difference in the overall look of that vehicle. If I was more involved with my Highlander I would consider covering up the ugly wood grain it has too, but no, I am not.
Love my 2009 Hemi Overland. Including its real Redwood interior trim abd steering wheel. Vehicle is a great combo of luxury, power, unstoppable 4WD, and unique look... like a combo Cherokee, Hummer and Land Rover.
It's crazy, it's a real beast I love it!!! From a quick glance within seconds it looks like a Nissan Patrol. Another real beast. This is wicked. Welldone. In and out is wow. Now you need a new name!!!! JC Beast
My goal with this build is for people to ask "What is that!?" when they quickly see it. Creating the big window is a big step in that direction. Thanks for the kind words and thanks for watching.
Saving this video for later. Getting a Magnum fell through, so I think I'm gonna get a Commander instead. Love. What you're doing with yours, I will definitely be stealing some ideas. 😂
As someone who owns both a 2006 Magnum and a 2008 Commander, both with Hemis... Go with the Commander! Much better build quality and the Magnum isn't as fun as it should be anyway, and lacks cargo space like a mofo
no one really sees that, except you every time you open the lift gate...LOL..Looking great! Nice job, really inspiring me to do some work like that on my Commander..
Thanks! It's from Steel Armadillo. I think there is a link in the bio, but I did a video on the CB install if you are interested. Just search my channel for "CB". Thanks for watching.
The Miata is painted and looks brand new. We have a ton of new parts to install, we just need the painter to finish up on a couple of things and it will be finished. Thanks for watching!
I did the Window pillars on my Commander using high gloss black Lexan. I did the rear pillars only and decided that I liked the look as is, decided the full length window look was not the style I was going for.
@@ExtremeDailyDrivers Yes by just doing the back pillars it gives the look of a large SUV, by doing the complete side it almost gives a minivan appearance!
Great Video, I bought my Commander because I missed my classic Bronco and the Commander styling reminds me a lot of the Bronco but with much more room inside. One thing that I don't like about the Commander is the monochrome look so I painted my bumpers, fender flares and lower door panels with a contrasting color using Upol Raptor bedliner, and did it in a rough texture to give my Commander a more rugged look. I have been thinking of making my window pillars a high gloss black covering to give it a different look and after seeing yours in this video I now know that I will be doing the same next week. I hope you keep making these great videos changing a bland stock style into something eye catching. Hey since I have made my changes the Wrangler guys have even been giving me "Jeep Waves".
I bought my Jeep Commander because Toyota's hold their value too well!! I also like the boxy shape, all of the room and the upgraded interior. Lots more coming with the Commander. Thanks for watching!
Have you had the same issue all commander owners have had with the climate control and info center lights burning out? Mine have and I’m going to do the led replacement on it.
It's been 7 months since you made that clip, so probably you already did some further mods. I'm going to prize myself with chunky all terrain suv. Pathfinder is my first choice, but I also started to consider commander. You have great ideas. This pillar delete is just spot on, sir. Especially with silver commander ( I always find silver as the hardest car colour to work with). Have you ever thought about painting arch extensions black? Will give them that aftermarket , rugged look.
I prefer the grab handles on mine. I don't mind the sleeker look, but prefer the functionality. I'll certainly be needing them even more when I eventually acquire a roof rack. If my Commander was the same color as yours, I would go for as near a color match with a matte finish for the hood decal. My Commander is black on black and I intend to change it to a sand color inside and out. It will be much much cooler than black.
Yeah, the grab handles were always weird to me. I had a couple people tell me to leave them, but I definitely perfect the cleaner look. I'm really liking the hood decal and I'm going to make another mod here soon that will tire the color in from the decal. Thanks for watching.
I have an 06 sliver XK limited 4x4... has the wood. I like what you did to the interior. Very nice. Was the black brushed steel a wrap? FYI, I painted all my old faded plastic exterior parts and chrome black... Makes the car look new.
Yes! The brushed aluminum is a wrap. It's perfect. Very subtle and such a nice upgrade. I was going to do an updated wood grain, like you find in a Mercedes, but they recommended this and it was the right call. Thanks for watching.
Nicely done :-) we were wondering when your next Jeep Commander video will come out. We hope to share some more of what we've done with ours and some more of the 4x4 adventures so far.
Lots more coming. I have a garage full of parts that need to be installed! The Miata is almost done with paint, so that's going on too. Too much to do and not enough time. Thanks for watching!
Great job man and thanks for sharing also just out of curiousity is there anyone who has passed 250,000 mi that anyone is aware of ive been learning alot and saw one guy said his was at 250k still running strong just on top of maintenance schedule
I think it would have looked more present day if you would have the entire roof black from the body line up. Gave it more the Range Rover look. Basically, from the side mirrors back and up. Leaving only the A-pillars body color if possible. I think the mirrors would help with that.
@@ExtremeDailyDrivers that’s awesome! Did you have to remove all the pieces to apply? I have a 2007 Commander. Would love to get this done on mine. Would A&G be able to knock these out? How much they run?
I like the new political style candidate on the go start to the vid. Vote Brandon bravest youtuber, he bought a Jeep, nuff said! Ok no more shenanigans, the CC looks badass! The brushed look on the interior looks slick, it is hard to pick up on the vid but does show on certain shots and it is nice! The paint job came out really good too, looks stock. Don't focus on little imperfections, Stevie Wonder wouldn't be able to find flaws even if he really tried so you shouldn't either. I will say that I'm a little disappointed that you haven't slapped a sick XDD decal or emblem on there, the one's on the doors look sick but a brushed black XDD emblem on there would be a total statement piece and represent the brand and channel. Great stuff man, we need a off road edition vid!
Hey JC, I asked to have a XDD windshield banner make by the guys at A&G, but I'm starting to reconsider that idea. I don't know a why to do it without it looking kind of dumb. With that being said, I just had an idea! What if I copied the TEQ from the xB and made it the same style, but XDD?!? Oh, that might work!!!! Emailing A&G now. Thanks for always watching!
This channel/series is exactly what I've been craving since buying a commander. Can't wait to follow along.

@@ExtremeDailyDrivers fortunately you're about ten steps ahead of me so I'm in no rush😂 looking forward to seeing everything you've got in store
Brandon, do you still own your commander? It looks great!

I have the same color. Plan on color matching the grille. I think it will make it look better.
I'm not a fan of the color matched grill on these. I considered it earlier on. Good luck with you Commander!
Nice rig. I actually installed grab handles on mine because I use them to get up to the roof rack often
