Overview of the non-Schengen to Schengen Area transfer process at Zurich Airport (ZRH). Non-Schengen flights depart and arrive from the D and E gates meanwhile Schengen flights depart and arrive at the A and B gates. A, B/D gates form part of the Airside Centre meanwhile the E gates are part of the midfield Satellite Terminal. Arguably, Zurich Airport is one of the best and most efficient airports to transit through amongst all European hubs.

It is very helpful as i will have like 1 hr from gate e move to gate a with a kid. I was worry i will miss my next flight. I just saw ur review and its perfect. Looks fast and convienent.
Thanks for ur sharing
Just had a 40mins connection in Zurich. Thanks for your video. made it in time. Thank you.
Awesome guide! I needed this!
Thanks. This is very useful. Looks like all pax will be let out at E gates departure. I am transiting through Zurich in a few weeks, flying in from Singapore.
Good job explaining things in a very informative and simple way
Excellent video, very complete and shows each stage of the process. We connected in ZRH a few months back and found it very efficient. The Skymetro is great.
I am REALLY not a fan of bus gates, though. It always feels like Ryanair.
I mean every airport has to have them. There are so many flights that you can't really park all the airplanes at a gate sometimes. Plus its usually the carriers decision if they decide to pay the extra for the gate.
This was actually very helpful. I am travelling from Mumbai to Barcelona through Zurich next month. My transit time is 55 mins and I am a bit anxious about it. A morning transit too. I hope I can make it.
Hey I'm looking at the same flight, can you tell me what the process was like? I have a connecting flight to barcelona as well
Thank you for your video. I have an upcoming flight that i have 1 hour and 15 minutes layover in Zurich. I'm a bit anxious. I hope I make it 😬
75 minutes is plenty of time for ZRH. You should be fine.
@@OnTimeReports thank you 🙏🙏
Thanks a lot for much needed info. May I know manned immigration queues? I’ve 55 min transit coming from Dubai at E and next departure for Manchester from D.
It seems like your bags are checked through
Helpful video, what about security, is it possible to miss the security and have problems later ?
I have a 65 mins layover from HK to rome. Hope I make it
Hello~I'm planning the exact same trip, so just wanna know if you made it.
Were all passengers let out at gate E Departure or were only the transfer passengers let out at gate E-Departure and the passengers with final destination Zurich let out at gate E-Arrival?
All pax
Thanks for the video. My flight will be from Hongkong to Berlin through Zurich. May I ask if the checked baggage is automatically transferred from Zurich to Berlin so that I do not need to do anything ?
there are loads of factors into this.. whether you purchased your ticket in one PNR, same alliance etc.. call your airline to check
I understand that passport control is anyways ? I am going to have a connection of 4.5 hours , comming and going from and to a non shangean country. I had a very bad experience from Frankfurt with a non shangean passport so I learnt from that. The 40 minutes transit time is practicaly irreal.
If you rush you should make it. Passport control usually doesnt take long and even if its full it wont take more than 15-20 minutes. And the remaining 20 min are enough time to walk through the airport
