Getting rid of the wooden shields and taking only metal ones on the character that builds off of wooden shields is a tactic that's clearly just far too advanced for our small brains to comprehend.
Three magnets with at least two being gold is enough to make the pile of stuff start floating and flying around, leading to throwing items at monsters without even using your first crane yet.
Don't ignore the other fights (or minigames) on the map, you get items after each fight. + you can move freely on the map too so you can go back to the fights you missed

I have gotten my deck down to Three golden daggers, One hand of Midas, and one magnet. For this you need The perks of quite a few golden armors and the savings account. When you get around a thousand gold saved up, you become almost impossible to kill and you one shot nearly everything. After that, you gain strength faster than the enemy does and you can run endless with never worrying about death
You and RCE, should do a mashup video, the both of y’all be posting within an hour of each other everyday and all the games you play are nearly identical
DF reads the ability of the dam several times, df takes a note that the dam needs wooden items (DF probably doesnt understood that the dam gets shiled based oh his stregth), DF notices that he gets 1 stregth each time the dam is damaged... DF then ignores everything about the dam, gets rid of every wooden items has and uses the dam as a sacrafice... But I still enjoyed the video
its not just shredding the wood shields for me, its adding so many metal shields that dont matter and bulk out the deck, inhibiting the potion grabbing. but i did love seeing strength number go up :D
Another case of a RUclipsr not appreciated the value of the paperclip. He was getting his strength up to 90 regularly. That paperclip would hit for 180 damage, or 270 if he upgraded it.
It's funny how no one realizes DF getting rid of all of his wooden shields was a good thing lol. By the time he deleted them the dam wasn't dying anymore, and the dam's effect prevents the wooden shields from adding block to his actual character. By the time he died reflect damage was the only thing that could still really threaten him (which the dam didn't help with anyway), and reducing the clutter made the strength potions easier to collect as well. Good call DF 👍

I don't understand your logic of shielding yourself... you have small wooden shields giving +20 block to the dam or a metal shield giving +5 to yourself. The dam has to die for the metal shields to matter and there's no reason to let the dam die when you get +20+ block/health
