I'm a HERO player and uh... It's actually a pretty strong deck for getting an invite, but not for the actual event. Versatile enough to be able to play against almost any strategy (except Shifter) The issue is just... struggling to play through negates if they know how to hurt you.
@JayF2912 I used to run Heroes, I retired the deck due to Mulcharmy and Impulse when ROTA came out. I am currently eyeing a hero return come next year when we get the new Evil Hero support. But one big reason why I retired the deck and went full meta was due to how bricky it was
@@jclau77 tbf I think the Brickiness isn't a terrible issue. It's definitely a lot heavier then other decks but even like, Mali, isnt a hard brick - it's only truly cursed if you open two of em. I actually just last week decided to take a little break for a few weeks and will also likely return when SUDA releases the new support
Bystial Control might be a good budget/rogue meta call. Rough matchups are non-light/dark rogue decks like Mermail. The Maliss matchup probably isn't fantastic either. But versus all the Fiendsmith variants, it cooks.
@CrisRullz yeah the deck will run you sub $100 if you have zero of the engine. It's still a lot cheaper than the top two and obvi if that's too expensive, then pass over it. But if your budget is around $150 or less, it's worth thinking about.
@zyroberk Purrely? Dinomorphia/ Ryuge? Both? And who plays Kaijus right now? Haven't seen them lately. On the other hand it wouldn't surprise me on a local/ maybe regional level. And for Slayer and D Barrier there is still the possibility to play Crossout
@@red_dll In fairness any kaiju makes beating maliss/ryzeal much easier and could see play. Tribute deadnader/terahertz and that gets rid of at least 2 points of interaction.
If Unchained had 3 Sharvara (which it 1000% should) I think it would be a serious threat It’s hard to explain but 1 sharvara makes so many interactions awkward once you’ve been handtrapped 1 or 2 times. I miss that deck so much
I've been on Vanquish Soul on and off since its release. I dont have any meta decks at the moment but I think VS might be my pick this format. It can play a lot of the cards you mentioned.
White Forest Horus Azamina is nutty. Same with PK Adventure Horus. Its not quite budget but youre not spending as much as you would for meta. Its a good middle ground
The fact that I went from the mindset of playing rogue to being full on meta or bust has changed me completely. Maybe for the worst...I crash out so hard when I lose to rogue. It isnt the fact I lost, its the fact that I put 700 dollars up to 4 digits only to lose to a cheap rogue deck. Maybe i should stop telling rogue players "Rogue aint worth my time" thats been my catchphrase ever since I went full meta. Everyone of my buddies call me a meta slave for a reason
Looking at a lot of these decklists, I feel like these are more Rogue than actual budget lists. Maybe I'm wrong, since I could only pull up a few, but if the decks still 'budget' for +$200, how is that budget? The only budget deck (~$100) that I could pull was the Unchained list.
If you were otherwise going card for card with GGygo's extra, I'd run the second hayate. Azalea is good but is one of the less used cards in the ED, you'll likely find Hayate comes up more often. Let me know how it goes!
I was playing melodious and my opponent activated nibiru on me. I had to do a super awkward Line to get the token off my field so I could continue playing. That Line also made me lose the game because I only had one generic extra deck monster.
Just went X-1 at regionals with Gravekeeper’s but got cheated out of top cut because I had 2 ties so trust me with some commitment you can clap plenty of objectively better decks lmfao
@ pretty simple. Just the recruiter, commandant, throne and necrovalley at 3 plus a dragoon package and some fenrirs. Only hand traps I run are ash, ogre, imperm but that’s all you need. I run super poly as well in case they ash red eyes. I also run one spy and spiritualist for utility. Two headman for some comeback plays too. It’s deceptively simple but you smack them to death with your utility and protect your back row with dragoon/solemns. Extra deck is just a bunch of utility too. What’s your build like?
Im on dinomorphia with mind drain in the main and it is a problem for my locals meta which is 40+ easy every week yeah it still has the going second weakness of dino but on the play its disgusting
"Its not the deck, its the player" -My buddy who got his invite via heroes

lubellion 3 of 20$+ each.. druisw 3 of 15$+..

you can shuffle back on their target turn with chain 2, while they tryna chain 1 to summon back, running bystial cont spell ofc
I think purrely is also a good option if you are on a thight budget. The whole core is like 13€.
And maybe (Dinomorphia-)Ryuge
Dies to Dimensional Barrier, Ultimate Slayer and Kaijus so not a fan

True, I can't deny them being playable. I just haven't seen them in any decklist so far.
Thanks for the memento list, i wasn't sure what to do exactly with this deck, u opened my eyes
I'm very glad you did this, I was right in the middle of leveraging my mortgage for Ryzael Fiendsmith.
You dont have to do that. Ryzael is less oppressive than snake eyes and altho strong it wasnt unbeatable
Oh don't worry I'm a salad player I was jus Having a gag
True, instead of that I am leveraging half of it to get 6th deck I end up not playing.

Thank you for making this! As someone who goes to locals maybe twice a month this is a great resource to ensure I have a chance during it

What do you think about vanquish soul this format? 👀

May I ask. What about spright, branded, gimmick puppet, labrynth? Like super fun amazing!
Throwing the nadir package into fk has been doing solid for me since oss got killed
Any chance you want to make a video on how and when to use Talents in the current format?
Would recommend Spright, its fairly Budget, can compete in the meta cause its basically worse Ryzeal

I don’t own a Sky Striker Azalea. Can I run the striker list without it and is it anything I can replace her with?

Nib in Melodious seems like a bit of a mistake since it turns off your Ostinato and 1st Movement. Otherwise great vid with good insights as usual
I think its one of those things where you gotta work around it. Nib is too good not to play rn.
Yea and turns off couplet, for locals I even sided dark hole for stuff like salad that can give u a monster and mess you over big time

Tenpai is pretty solid. Dirt cheap now that paidra and genroku went down in price.
Mulcharmys are needed. Not budget.

For which deck is mind drain for? Just to block ash?
TENPAI BEST DECK
Im on unchained rn
Why no purge dominus in melodious???
