Sun was formed about 4.6 billion years ago it was a giant gas and dust cloud center of the Nebula Cloud but there are different theories how sun was formed you can read them online. You can study Heliophysics aswell if interested.

adityanam-of the Adityas; aham-I am; visnuh-the Supreme Lord; jyotisam-of all luminaries; ravih-the sun; amsuman-radiant; maricih-Marici; marutam-of the Marutas; asmi-I am; naksatranam-of stars; aham-I am; sasi-the moon.
TRANSLATION
Of the Adityas I am Visnu, of lights I am the radiant sun, I am Marici of the Maruts, and among the stars I am the moon.

If someone enters a room and says that Allah is not there he is denying Allah. It is revealed in several verses of the Qur'an that Allah enfolds everywhere, that He is closer to us than our own jugulars and that wherever we look we see the Face of Allah.
Where is God? The answer is He is everywhere. This verse states the ‘nirguna’ aspect of Brahman, the all-pervasive cosmic intelligence, the basis and foundation by which the whole of the manifested universe is sustained.
sarvam avritya tishtati: Brahman pervades all the Universe. What pervades all should be more than the Universe that is pervaded. The Universe which is Drisya is just a fragment of Brahman.
