You've done it again my friend! Once again I'm both laughing and learning my ass off at the same time! Don't feel bad you lack the genuine marklin parts. It's something I find genuinely inspiring about you opposed to other gauge 1 modelers. You've proven that no one needs to have the fancy marklin or tenmille pieces to make a great replica. You can still make one that's just as good (Dare I say better?). Keep doing what you're doing jonjon.
Thank you man. This comment is very uplifting and I really needed this. I do want to inspire and help others create the models people always wanted and see on their favorite little train show
Jonjon I used to make a model Thomas but ever since you made your model you brought my spirit back to life to evolve my gauge 1 Thomas and other people who also made other models as well 😊
Thank you for this video and mention! I’m sure many people will appreciate the hard work and effort that’s shown in the vid showing it’s not an easy process but worth it in the endgame.
7:10 literally straight out of the show. I’d say this is a perfect season 6. My replicas will most likely be the 1-4 versions, when they were still shiny and not matte. Fantastic job, and this video has explained the most difficult part of construction and it’s something I really needed to buy the parts I need for my model. Thank you and I can’t wait to start, and you weren’t kidding last video, this is gonna be quite the investment 😂😭
@@TankEngineJonJon would love to see similar videos on engines you are planning to complete in the future, like Rosie and the… certain other one that had the… accident. 😅
thank you so so much for actually going in detail on how the electronics work on your thomas, i might be able to start work on my narrow gauge engines lol
I'm honestly yet to see people make an actual 100% accurate Thomas or any other character replica that has an eye mechanism and is able to steam. I hope in future you can figure out the steam part, cause that'll be cool.
the original models couldn't steam on their own either, there were some fog/steam machines placed under the set, where the model was, that gave them that illusion.
I like how your doggie looks at Thomas and I think it’s cute :) and I also plan to make a model like yours but related into season 1 - 2 thomas but I really like your Thomas model! :D
OH SHIIIIT Y'ALLS GOT FUCKING ROASTED BY THOMAS THEM BARS THO Jokes aside, your model is one of the most impressive HiT era Thomas models I've ever seen in the fandom :)
Walsall engineering is where I order my locomotive wheels. they have a good selection of white cast metal parts. if you need to replace your wheels check them out. if your looking for rolling stock my favorite is Bowaters models and Tenmille.
Imagine getting face tracking software and putting in a camera somewhere so the model will recognize and interact with the person, whether that is tooting the whistle, flicking the eyes like he would in the show or something, maybe even have it connected to the forward and back controls so he will stop or act out in some way
Can u please make Gordon next, just please!!! We all probably want to see that and maybe you getting frustrated BUT as always you did amazing at this and thank you for this jon jon
Whoa! You might just be the future of Thomas the tank engine and friends! You should buy the show from Matter and bring back the model series! This is amazing work! Wish I can do this
What gear(s) did you use for the motor (side of the gear and hole of the motor) and also the axles for Thomas's wheels. Plan on making my own one day. Wanna keep watching this video for a better understanding of how everything works.
Ive never seen someone basically use rubberbands as a motormount! I do wonder how much he can pull before the worm slips though, then again being new series based I doubt he’d need to pull more than 5 or so wagons lol
I have a question, can you do eye mechanisms for only one trackmaster engine or do u need a back rolling stock thingy so it can connect something like the small narrow gauge engines they need a rolling stock cuz they need it for wires and stuff
Hey TankEngine JonJon. sorry for asking but I have no idea how you did the motor for the movement, as I mean is how you got the controller to be be connected to the model wireless, just confused. Well done on making a wonderful model.
Im sorry i thiink ive replayed the start Millions of times, So flipping funny But awesome! video, I love How you Made me Laugh Through out the whole video.
Fantastic video! Love seeing the inner workings, always the most elusively glossed over part of gauge one videos I feel. One question I have (unless I totally missed it in the video), what kind of battery would you recommend using to power a model with these types of function? Also, curious to see if you’ll ever try getting a smoke unit into Thomas... 🤔
Loved your SLotLT intro in your outro with the Gauge 1 Thomas.
I'd love to see a sound chip with some of Thomas' whistles installed! Also, loved seeing your dog try to play with Thomas
Marklin locomotives come with that out of the box

1:21 Don't Be Sad JonJon. Atleast You Have Not Märklin Wheels But Wheels Accurate To Your Model Of Choice!
@@TankEngineJonJon One of these day, your Thomas could have a CGI face like in Season 12
0:36 the funniest line LOL
Bro what this is literally the best custom model I’ve ever seen. It looks like it came right out of the original series. That’s insane
Jonjon I used to make a model Thomas but ever since you made your model you brought my spirit back to life to evolve my gauge 1 Thomas and other people who also made other models as well 😊
Cool-Props Thomas + Eye Movements + Motor and electric stuff inside = Model Thomas
I’m doing that right now
0:17 "Thomas is a tank engine on the island of sodor he's gotta..shit!" As do we all, as do we all
Thank you for this video and mention! I’m sure many people will appreciate the hard work and effort that’s shown in the vid showing it’s not an easy process but worth it in the endgame.
"short stumpy funnel huh? Atleast i dont have a short stumpy di-" made me laugh
I love how everything is contained in the engine.
Just found this channel and I absolutely love it .
Can’t wait for more content. The Thomas turned out amazing. Keep up the great work
i’m so happy you model the hit era 🙏🏼
The dog bite though towards me was just cute (Love the model by the way, Very cool!)
The dog's reaction is adorable
Dude.. you are INSPIRING THE HECH OUT OF ME, you've done a amazing job on ur thomas model... I'll make sure to share this.
This is amazing, I hope to get into Gauge 1 modelling one day
me too
Thomas snapped at the beginning lol
I am absolutely blown away by this masterpiece! You have inspired me to make my own Thomas out of 3d printed parts!!

Literally what I was gonna say - it's literally the spitting image of Thomas!
Dang you must’ve have went through a lot of trial and error to get to where you are now, amazing work!
You bet!
your profile pic 😭
@Trainboy kills it again with the V.O! Great video once again!!!
That beginning had me laughing hard🤣
But yeah well done on this, if I ever tried to make my own working gauge 1 Thomas, this would really help :)

Great work as always, dude! Very well edited and explained! Looking forward to eventually trying out these electronics one day! 👏🏻💙✨
Thank you, man. any ideas for future content?

the intro got me
"oh short stumpy funnel huh?,BUT ATLEAST I DONT HAVE A SHORT STUMPY D-" that caught me off guard XD
I really wanna see you give Thomas steam. This video is fire
Bro Trainboy literally voiced him and it's perfect
It’s Funny When Trainboy Comes By With That Thomas Voice

DUDE THIS IS SO COOL

Nice control eye control.
14:15 how cute is that 😍 damn look so good
Beginning had me dying for 10 minutes after replaying
If I Had a Gauge 1 Thomas, I Ain't Givin It Power, I Only Will Give it The Eye Mechanism
Maaaaan, he got you good.

Magnificent work
Let's gooooooooore of these kinds of videos!!!
Another fantastic video! I'm sure these tips will help in the construction of my replicas!

Keep up the great work 💯👍
0:35 - Thomas: Atleast A Don’t Have A Short Stumpy Di- NO!
"Up and right"- TankEngine JonJon
I would love to see this model with something in it that puffs out steam

Will You ever show us the model with steam coming out of his funnel and a smoke mechanism hidden down the gauge 1 track
WE NEED GORDON THE BIG ENGINE!!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE

Hey I live in Az too
5:40 what are the eye made of ?
what if you put magnets on Thomas's faces? so its easier to switch them out
That was train boy in the intro I recognize his voice
Hey TankEngine JonJon. sorry for asking but I have no idea how you did the motor for the movement, as I mean is how you got the controller to be be connected to the model wireless, just confused. Well done on making a wonderful model.
2:27 Correction It’s actually Tdoc_41.
Oh fuck!!! Right!!!!!
at least I don’t have a short stumpy di-
Damn Thomas you didn’t have to do man’s like that he was just trying to introduce you to the audience 😭😭😭😭😭
What dedication! You are a true Thomas fan my bro! Great job, Seriously! DUDE!
@TankEngine JonJon we need some trucks for thomas to shunt and smoke for the funnel
This is similar to the model series!
WAS THAT TRAIN BOY
you can try adding the smoke system into Thomas 😀
That will be very difficult
I personally think a firebox light would be easier and a nice detail,Buuuut that's just me.
Def was worth the wait lmao
Nice job on getting to 2,000 subs and will you make a gauge 1 Percy?
I think the next model you should make is Percy because he is small like Percy.
Are you going to make a set/layout for the Thomas model?
Soon
"At least I don't have a short stumpy di-"
Hi,
Where did you get the gears you used for the wheels? Did you 3d print them, and if so where did you get the files from? Also love the video!
Im sorry i thiink ive replayed the start Millions of times, So flipping funny But awesome! video, I love How you Made me Laugh Through out the whole video.
I’m very interested to see what happens
Do you wish you add a smoke unit to your Thomas?
Just out of curiosity what worm gear did you use for the motor

🤔
If I want to make something similar, this is useful
I wish there was a way to Add a moving eye Mechanism to an O Scale Thomas.
What sound effect did you use at 7:58?
HOLUP - Was that Trainboy in the intro?
Will you be adding a detailed cab Terrier to Thomas just like in the show???
maybe
@@TankEngineJonJon OK.
🔥🔥🔥10/10
Now that I watched the Percy trailer, WHEN ARE YOU GONNA DO A PERCY VIEDO LIKE THOMAS!!!
ask trainboy
Oh short stumpy funnel huh? At least i don't have a short stumpy di-. Had me laughing so hard😂
Will you make percy next?
or James?
I do Plan on making a James. I made a Percy for trainboy so I’m Percy-ed out
Are you gonna add a smoke unit one day?
I don’t think so…but that could change
Did he really get trainvoy to voice Thomas in the opening clip?
You should upgrade it so that it can release steam from the funnel and other parts of the body :)
Wow!, Cool.😃
😍😍😍
Hello, Nice model!
Are you thinking to put steam on it?
Greetings
0:33 I’m dying- 😂😂😂😂
Try using the motor and speed controller combo
