That is a great question. Yes, the transporter cargo will obstruct the view of the rear camera. There are wireless back up cameras with large capacity battery for campers or trailers attach by the hitch receiver that can help view the rear. How is supercharging with cargo box? Do you just back in as normal and the cable will still reach no problem? Did you try at different supercharging stations?

I have purchased a backup camera that is attached on the cargo by magnet. The camera helps when backing up at a Tesla Supercharger. You basically have to be very close for the charging cable to reach the charging port.

@@theticoboy The camera I purchased was through Amazon. (Just a heads-up, there are times I loose connection while driving but my primary purpose is during Supercharging.)

how much range do you lose when you use that Thule box ?

The amount of weight you put in the Thule as well as your speed will play a big factor in range. I can not give an exact number, but a rough estimate I can provide. So I estimate around 40-50 miles shaved off from a fully charged battery with a driving speed of 60-70mph. I mean other factors are also involved like the wind direction while driving, the weather condition (is it sunny or raining), the road condition. So my numbers can be wrong, but then again if you want my point of view here it is.
