If you have the Whole Home Air Cleaner do you still need to have someone come in to clean the ducts? Our Trane Air Handler was installed with retro-fitted ducts since they were not included when the house was built.

Do these cause “clean dust”. It seems it does. think Is there a way to reduce the un the filter creating clean dust.

Trane CleanEffects is an advanced air filtration system designed to remove dust, pollen, pet dander, and other particles from indoor air. However, the term "clean dust" is a bit of a misnomer, as all dust can potentially contain allergens and pollutants.
The Trane CleanEffects system is very efficient at filtering out dust and other small particles from the air. It uses a patented, electrostatically charged media filter that captures particles as small as 0.1 micron in size, which is significantly smaller than typical dust particles. This high level of filtration can significantly reduce the amount of dust in your indoor environment.
However, it's important to note that while Trane CleanEffects is effective at reducing dust and other airborne particles, it doesn't "clean" the dust in the sense of removing all potential contaminants from it. Regular maintenance, including cleaning and replacing filters as recommended by the manufacturer, is essential for the system to function effectively and maintain indoor air quality.

nah it uses some kind of sticky fiber honeycomb to catch the clean dust. you're gonna have to hit it with canned air every 3 months if you want it to work correctly

Our trane air filter doesn't do a countdown for the cleaning it just stays 1 green bar always .... not sure what to do.

Hmm. I think the lights just work off a time of operation and not if it’s dirty or not. I’d imagine something to do with the internal hours of operation timer. I’m just an owner so idk for sure

Can you use a good air filter, say a MERV 13 or better at the air return? Or would it reduce the air flow too much?

Question. We can't run our fan continuously because if we do the house gets very humid. That sucks because we would like for the air to be continuously cleaned by the Cleaneffects. Is there a way to fix that?

By running the fan all the time, when the air conditioner shuts off, then the water that is loaded on the evaporator coil will re-evaporate into the air. That’s being blown by the continuous fan therefore making the house humid. This is not a problem in the winter time.
