Hey don't knock "Our Time". I'm 79 and at 60 I walked the Portland Marathon. I'm walking 3 miles a day so far right now so I can walk a half marathon when I'm 80 as my late husband walked 13 miles (half-marathon) when he was 80. I do 40 squats a day, 50 standing push-ups & working up to a hundred chair sit-ups day. I believe in getting better as you get older. At least I hope I'm a lot wiser than I was when I was younger. LOL

I wish I had better advice for guys, but I just don't. The best I have is become the person YOU would want to date. Become valuable (God loves you, and your soul has value as a human being, but as NapoleonDynamite says, girls like guys with great skills). I ran a half marathon, started performing music, listening to Jordan Peterson and prayed for very specific things. I made a long list of questions the person had to answer before I would have real conversations. Found several great guys and married the man of my dreams in 9 months. Good luck and God bless.

It was challenging to make friends and almost impossible to keep them long term. My Mother actually grew up in Lancaster Co PA. All her neighbors were Amish. My Father is from Ohio/Indiana border. I wish I had better advice for guys, but I just don't. The best I have is become the person YOU would want to date. Become valuable (God loves you, and your soul has value as a human being, but as NapoleonDynamite says, girls like guys with great skills). I ran a half marathon, started performing music, listening to Jordan Peterson and prayed for very specific things. I made a long list of questions the person had to answer before I would have real conversations. Found several great guys and married the man of my dreams in 9 months. Good luck and God bless.

I grew up without a TV, or video games. Or even a family desktop computer until I was 9 or 10. (Y2K)
My friends called me and my family Amish. It was challenging to make friends and almost impossible to keep them long term.
My Mother actually grew up in Lancaster Co PA. All her neighbors were Amish. My Father is from Ohio/Indiana border. Many Amish folk there as well.
I once saw a pretty Amish girl in a store and smiled a subtle, kind smile, mostly just lit up the eyes and made eye contact. She beamed a smile right back and then immediately wiped it from her face, looked at the floor and left the building right quickly. Sad.
I don't think very highly of their cult. They reject Reason absolutely and also anything that is known to be an invention of man through reason or science. They instill an ideology on their children that life must be miserable and there can be no happiness. I was on Plenty of Fish for about three years.......I never met a single woman off that sight, in person! In fact I even tried Tinder and again, it seemed to match me up with women who lived WAY OUTSIDE of my general area!!! OR to put it another way, I am in a small town in New York...all my matches lived in Louisiana or California or Guam!!! And many of the women I matched with were 20 years older than me, OR they were 400 lbs and women I wouldn't want to date anyhow!
