This is video #8 in our 2023 Polaris RZR XP 1000 Sport video series. We invite you to join us and follow our RZR XP 1000 video series as we put thousands of miles and smiles on "Venom", our new machine! We will provide ownership reviews, as well as videos of upgrades, maintenance, and repairs.
We purchased our 2023 Polaris RZR XP 1000 on February 4th 2023 from i69 Motorsports in Union City Tennessee because they offered us the best deal we could find anywhere! We spent approximately $5,000 less by purchasing this machines in Tennessee instead of Arizona. Lance - our salesman - was awesome to work with and made the whole experience seamless and pleasant! www.i69motorsp...

I've always been told never to use a tool to tighten the oil filter back on. And to only turn it hand tight to avoid damage. Thoughts?

The manual instructs hand tight then an additional 1/4 turn if I recall correctly.

@@SouthwestORV will check it out.. I had read as tighten to contact and then another x amount of turn (still by hand). Good to see other perspectives.

Is the 2.5 qt kit the same for a 2023 xp 4 1000 ultimate?

I am about 99% positive that it is. Same engine.

Have you guys ever tryed putting a red solo cup around the oil filter when you take it off?

No, I've never tried that. Is it to keep the oil from running all over the engine?

Starting up with a dry filter?

Why leave half the dirty oil in there? You should least let it drain overnight to get all that dirty oil out You should at least let it drain overnight or you're wasting your money

I disagree. Never had a problem with letting my machines and other vehicles drain for 10 minutes. Thanks for watching.

Our dump trucks and rigs have tons of old oil in the big oil pans the rzr will be fine if you’re really worried fill it with new oil and drain it and re fill it with another batch of new oil
