Hi John. I just watched your video on healing your inner child. I’m definitely going to take your advice and do what you said. I have often wondered why sometimes certain memories come back and still cause hurt. I guess i should of named those hurtful traumatic experiences, not just forgive and hand it over to God. I often wonder why my Mom never protected me from witnessing the suicide of my Nanna, when I was 7 and a half. I didn’t figure this out until I was in my early twenties. I don’t even know why my Mom favoured my sister over me. There’s been other things that have effected me but I managed to get through it. I’m sure this advice in this video will help others. Thank you so much John. 💖

I was sexually abused when I was a child and physically abused as an adult and by the time I turned 40 I had a nervous breakdown. Praise God he is helping me get through it all. I still suffer from PTSD but God is working on me.

You are not what happened to you but what you do with your life to serve God, others and Yourself. Bad experiences are bad experiences, they don't change the perfect soul, heart, body that God gave you. Its only a terrible temporary experience. What's left is only the bad memories that God can help you with. Write everything that cause pain to you in your whole life and put it at Our Lord's feet.
Thank you for obeying the prompting of the Holy Spirit! I needed to hear this as I have been deeply disturbed as an adult over an unjust punishment received from my mama due to neither of my brothers admitting to their mischief when I was upstairs in my room 99.999% of the time. If mama needed something out of the deep freezer in the basement, then I would go. Bless you, Brother Rich! ❤

Thank you for putting the truth out there. I came to the Lord very suddenly and powerfully a couple of years ago after being involved in the occult for 28 years. I have been frustrated with pastors and churches, Bible studies and Sunday schools preaching so much fluffy, feel good, self help. I don’t have a ton of biblical knowledge but I read and try to learn on my own everyday. All along I have known somehow that what is being preached isn’t enough. I met with my abusers in dreams after they each died. They couldn't move on until they got my forgiveness. Of course I forgave them! I love them both very much! I'm blessed to have had the chance to see them and work things out. I just found you on you tube. This is great! Thanks lol!
I was wounded as a child. My mother never wanted me. She admitted it and said "I wish you had never been born, No one will ever love you. You are ugly. From birth to her death ( I was 23 when she died. Those scars have been with me all of these years. I'm 63 now. The pain has lessened but the words keep boiling up from the surface.
Mary, you and I are almost exactly the same age. I wish I had known you when we were children. If we had known each other, I would have told you how beautiful and amazing you really are, although I know it still wouldn’t take away the pain from your mother’s terrible words. I did have a girlfriend when I was growing up who had a cruel mom, and I did everything I could to love and support her. I think some people have so much pain and unresolved bitterness in their lives that they lash out at their precious children, not even realizing the damage they are passing on. Or who knows, maybe some people do know it, and just can’t control themselves. The one thing I’ve learned is that there’s nothing more important in this life than complete forgiveness of others. The Lord forgives billions of their trespasses against Him. Fortunately, we humans usually only have a few to forgive. It releases our hearts and makes space for the Lord to enter. I pray God blesses you abundantly, and that you feel His tangible love and peace forever more; In Jesus’ almighty name. Amen. God bless you, Mary. Two alcoholic parents but the worst was when my father abandoned us when we were just kids I have been dealing with this insecurity all my life. God has given me peace though. It's a struggle

You can not confess someone else's sin for them. That sin might have affected you but you are not responsable to ask forgiveness to get healed. You tell him what sin someone else hurt you that is what God will work with on.

Good message John, however, we are only responsible for our sins and not the sins of others. It's our job to confess our sins like 1 John 1:9 says, and Jesus will heal us. We dont have to confess the sins of our offenders, we just have to forgive them like Jesus instructed us to do on the sermon on the mount. Deautronomy 24:16 “Parents must not be put to death for the sins of their children, nor children for the sins of their parents. Those deserving to die must be put to death for their own crimes. Ezekial 18:1-4 Then another message came to me from the lord: “Why do you quote this proverb concerning the land of Israel: ‘The parents have eaten sour grapes, but their children’s mouths pucker at the taste’? As surely as I live, says the Sovereign lord, you will not quote this proverb anymore in Israel. For all people are mine to judge-both parents and children alike.
