    I think the main difference is in the warranty. They are probably original reels, but when you buy in a shop or in an online shop in UK, Italy, US etc you have a warranty period (generally 2years at least) in which anything that happens to your reel you have free replacement of pieces and free maintenance. I really doubt it would be the same on Ali express and this is probably why there's that difference in price

  • @ForeverMods
    @ForeverMods 3 года назад +2

    You are right. Problem is that it takes 2 months to deliver.

    Hello everyone, i bought this reel too and it really is the original. But this is the 2017 model and there is a 2020 model that's the same but 5gr lighter because of different design but same internal components etc. So i think that's why these ones are very cheap. None the less these reels are very good.

    Just bought a Daiwa (20) Ninja 2500 LT PB (Pitch Black). It's nice to have an option for a more neutral black colour - if your theme/scheme is not red.
    Line Lay is a bit top heavy though and 100 meters of 0.15 DAM braid (8 stranded) is all it takes to fill the spool 100%. (I prefer 95% filling of the spool to avoid a birds nest) 8 stranded makes less noise when reeling in, I really recommend that.
    I also got a small bag of plastic washers, like you did here. How do I adjust the line lay without destroying anything?
    Just one plastic washer - second from the last aluminium/carbon one?

    • @AndrewsKnots
      @AndrewsKnots  4 года назад +1

      To adjust the line lay on the spool you need to add/remove plastic washers under the spool, where "spool support" is.

    hi there, can anyone tell me if the Daiwa Regal LT is any good compared to Fuego LT ? Looking in particular to the 1000 size for UL SPinning, but don't want to give away too muhc for the beginning. Or any "cheaper" (+- 50€) spool with a smooth run. thanks

    I did order 3000 series but i think so i recieve defective one. The bolt in which one you are screwing the handle it has a little bit of movement and when turning the reel there is noise which i think it is not normal .In the beginning i toughed that the noise is coming from the handle but after i change the bearings i realize that actually is coming from the bolt . Is that normal for this model or i really recieved defective one .

    Hi Andrew, nice video. Just a quick question: have ever had a problem with the line profile on the spool? I just bought a Daiwa Fuego 2500 and it seems that the profile is not that great. I tried the extra washers from the box but I find it not straightforward how to apply the washers in case of this reel.

    • @AndrewsKnots
      @AndrewsKnots  4 года назад +1

      Hi,
      If I remember correctly, all Daiwas I got from Ali were set correctly. If the line sits too high on the spool, you need to add supplied washers and remove washers, if line sits too low. As on any other reel really.
      Cheers

    • @tibigumi
      @tibigumi 4 года назад +3

      @@AndrewsKnots Thanks for the prompt reply. Yes, you are correct. My problem was how to remove the bearing in order to put the washers/shims. It seems that there is thin transparent washer on top of the bearing. After removing that it comes off easily and you can apply the additionan washers. Thanks again Andrew.

    hey , i have a problem, i dismantle my exceler lt , and when i put it back i can see that bail on opening is hitting the spool when it is in highest point. any toughts what could be the problem? thx

    • @AndrewsKnots
      @AndrewsKnots  4 года назад +1

      Not to sure what you did exactly there but most likely your spool sits too high. Daiwa LT reels (especially 2000 size) has very small tolerance when it comes to the bail opening. Maybe you put in too thick drag washers?
      Cheers

    Hi Andrew, do you have any experience with the Daiwa Legalis (4000) or Ninja match/feeder 4012.
    I’m hoping to get a bit more into the rivers and plan to get to the Trent and Wye mainly on the feeder. Matched with 12ft 2.2tc. I really like the TDM/TDR’s but out of my price range. Original Legalis are not too expensive second hand and newer LT model on Ali Express too.
    Thanks in advance for any advice 👍

      Well, Luvias 2020 at 2000 size weights 152 g., so, it balances well even with my short SUL rod. Big but light reel is a bonus for SUL as it's helps with casting 👌
