It was very important to come up with a possible solution for dangerously debilitating diseases like MND and/or Muscular Dystrophy. No disrespect to scientists at all. They do remarkable work but I think it’s time to be critical of their progress. We hear about new treatments all the time but when do we see them used in our health care systems. The answer is very very rarely. The trick now is to figure out why it works in the 2% of patients
It's because it targets a certain gene defect called SOD1. Most MND patients do not have this gene, which is why it only works in 2%.
