can you highlight the differences between an 4.2 abz vs 4.2 bhf? i know that the abz is timed via a belt and is in the front instead of the back but besides that i dont know much. for example why do people boost abz's more then thye boost the bhf and is the abz the better motor for boost? and is the abz a direct swap into a b7 s4
We do not do any ABZ builds so I could not tell you all the differences. The ABZ can accept more boost in stock form so it can take more power. If you are opening up the engines and fortifying the components, there is no advantage.
@@amtuned1086 oh and i watched someone's turbo b7 s4 build and their valve seats dropped causing the engine to run poorly and caused a lot of damage. I wanted to know what would cause a valve seat to drop in a boost bhf?
@@Purehaste Not sure the limits of a ABZ. Your other question about a valve seat dropping was due to bad machining on replacement seats from a different shop. We have never had a valve seat failure on any build.
@@amtuned1086 ok thank you for the insight so in a couple months or so i plan to boost my s4 to roughly 500hp i plan to do a rearmount setup in order to save myself the headache of making a custom exhaust manifold. What would I need to upgrade in order to handle the 500hp but make it reliabliy and safely. Or if 500hp is 2 much what would be a good level to aim for while maintaining the stock internals as I am not ready to forge any parts,
I would say lower the music a tad bit, definitely was looking forward to hearing the car more. Nice to see someone pushing this chassis
