It is interesting to be reminded that despite our advances and discoveries, we (as in humanity) are still fundamentally the same people that came up with those ancient myths and religions in the first place...so there's nothing stopping us from inventing, or falling for, new ones. Concerning the question at the end about volcano christian god. Enoch ~ 62 : 15 Has what has been described as volcano imagery with the appearance of God. Which would be Yahweh, the Christian God. Enoch was one of a dozen or so books rejected from the earlier versions of the bible but is still used by some sects such as the Ethiopian orthodox church. I learned about this from a Gnostic Informant guest, in a video uploaded 7 months ago about the book of Enoch. Highly recommended.

Interesting. I should declare that I've read, many years ago, a couple of Sitchen books and the odd website along similar lines. I found it intriguing and probably would've wanted it to be true. But never really fully bought into it Have thought a few times how it could fit into a fictional narrative though

I was so surprised this video actually deals with Anunnaki moder myth, not Anunna of ancient Sumerian texts. On the other hand the topic was very well approached and explained from religionist point of view, which can help people understand this phenomenon. What was not helpful was claiming that actual Anunna facts were boring. If they were presented in concise manner with proper references to the texts, it would draw very vivid picture of how ancient Mesopotamians perceived their deities.

I think Sitchin deserves a harsher critique, but I do appreciate the repeated caveats to please not believe any of this. What I hate about ancient alien theories is the racism they're based on, and this is at least hinted at in this video. It's a sore spot with me because my father believed all this stuff. He at least had the excuse that there was no internet at the time (70s) for easy fact-checking.

Lot of spiritual people believe in "flesh and blood" aliens, but at the same time believe you can contact them on a spiritual basis. As they, according to New Age belief, are more advanced beings and they are able to use telepathy and other spiritual techniques. They are also believed to use advanced technologies which in current narrative are based on quantum theory and similar, hard to understand theories. This is also the basis to explaining some objects, such as Egyptian Ankh, as advanced technology activated by advanced spiritual powers.

The “Watchers” story in Enoch was most likely written no earlier than 200 BCE. The mythical character Enoch as related in Genesis, would not have been Moses’ grandfather. Possibly you meant Noah? Enoch -> Methusela -> Lamech -> Noah Sumerian literature predates the Israelite Tanakh by about 1200 years, though legends about the 10 antediluvian Patriarchs might have been passed down from late Bronze Age oral traditions. It’s all fairy stories, so trying to match up details is like asking “What flies faster, dragons or griffons?”

Imo, religions fail when they make doctrine more important than being kind and looking out for each other. I’m not Christian, so who borrowed what bedtime stories from whom, doesn’t matter to me. Enoch was a folk hero - stories about Enoch were told to make a point. Mostly, to illustrate how in the spiritual world, the good side wins even if things seem terrible in the “real” world. Enoch isn’t even an *old* folk tale. Like Daniel and others, the emphasis on spiritual warfare and apocalyptic visions was comforting to the Jews who were confused by the fact that they were still suffering, even though they were being faithful to the Law. They probably adapted Mesopotamian stories. Like Paul Bunyan (the giant lumberjack with the giant blue ox). Paul Bunyan stories were about how hard work and determination pays off. His stories were told when 90% of the work on US farms involved cutting down trees. I’ve cleared small pastures by hand. It’s brutal work. It helped people back then to tell funny folk stories, about a tree cutting hero who battled absurdly extreme weather and ate pancakes cooked on 30 foot griddles. But today, we don’t need to clear trees, to open fields, to grow food, to feed ourselves. So we don’t tell Paul Bunyan stories much any more. Likewise, many folk heroes from scripture, aren’t really relevant now, imo.

He displayed a performance of a scholar worthy of an Emmy. Im serious. Of there was a category that awarded actors who played parts not presented as entertainment(ie. Has what has been described as volcano imagery with the appearance of God. Which would be Yahweh, the Christian God. Enoch was one of a dozen or so books rejected from the earlier versions of the bible but is still used by some sects such as the Ethiopian orthodox church.
I learned about this from a Gnostic Informant guest, in a video uploaded 7 months ago about the book of Enoch.

I was so surprised this video actually deals with Anunnaki moder myth, not Anunna of ancient Sumerian texts. On the other hand the topic was very well approached and explained from religionist point of view, which can help people understand this phenomenon. What was not helpful was claiming that actual Anunna facts were boring. If they were presented in concise manner with proper references to the texts, it would draw very vivid picture of how ancient Mesopotamians perceived their deities.

It's amazing to me how many idiots cry and bitch about what is "right and wrong" just because they don't like the way it sounds! I'm not a "Sitchin-itte" but wow!!! If you really read ZS, you understand that he takes the actual SNK original translations and makes some postulations based on those (but those are are actual translations that were originally made!). The Mahabharata (indian text), Native American, Asian and other stories etc, go into this! I think Sitchin deserves a harsher critique, but I do appreciate the repeated caveats to please not believe any of this. What I hate about ancient alien theories is the racism they're based on, and this is at least hinted at in this video.
It's a sore spot with me because my father believed all this stuff. He at least had the excuse that there was no internet at the time (70s) for easy fact-checking.

Enoch was a folk hero - stories about Enoch were told to make a point. Mostly, to illustrate how in the spiritual world, the good side wins even if things seem terrible in the “real” world.
Enoch isn’t even an *old* folk tale. Like Daniel and others, the emphasis on spiritual warfare and apocalyptic visions was comforting to the Jews who were confused by the fact that they were still suffering, even though they were being faithful to the Law. They probably adapted Mesopotamian stories.

The necessary attention must be givin to a few of the characteristics of this presentation. 1. He put DECADES into putting it together.
