  • We talked about creating a bus expansion unit (BEU), now that we have information from Timex about its specifications, as well as an updated TS 2068.
David Ellis, the groups.io TS 2068 email list manager and TS Pico user, joined to tell us about his experiences using the Pico and history as a Timex/Sinclair user.
Inspired by a discussion about robotics and Timex/Sinclair computers on the groups.io list, we looked at Bruce Taylor's robot. He wrote an article about it for Sync magazine as well as a book. It was inspired by a robot featured in Radio Electronics magazine.

I always thought that the printer was based on the Epson MX-80 F/T, but that was just the smokey brown top cover shape.
Wording on the Gary Grimes drawing looks like it says
    Transformer for BEU/TS 2000 system
A Would eliminate the need for a power strip
B Would eliminate the need for a transformer for each peripheral
C Would make it possible to turn off the complete system with a single convenient power switch
1 Power supply fits into space at the middle back of ???? It would protrude outside the base unit of the BEU so as to not cut into the PCBs inside BEU
2 Power switch on power supply
3 ???? ???? is to make it convenient to be activated from front of BEU
4 Could be docked with other manufacture systems
    5 Power indicator LED
