      Thankfully he works hard to give her credit. Good man and good son

      Does she want the recognition? She put her successful career on hold to raise an amazing family and is pursuing her love of theatre. Sounds like she's right where she wants to be.

    I’ve been a fan of Spike Lee since I was a kid!!! She’s gotta have it until now!!! Always staying conscious with the “Wake Up” in every movie!! Helped me learn about who I was and wanting to be!!! Spike Lee is the first film director’s I knew to understand and see myself in it!!! And yet still amazing, Love you Spike!!! It’s also special seeing him work with Denzel son since Denzel played in most of Spike early films❤️❤️❤️❤️

    The eminent director Spike Lee has directed 39 films between 1979-2018, and written many of them, 20 films written in this same time period of 1979-2018. He received a 2015 Honorary Academy Award for his contribution to cinema, at only 58 years of age. He has been nominated for his films several times.
    These women didn't really seem do their homework for an interview with a director as distinguished as Spike Lee. They should have introduced him with the number of films he has made, or as as Oscar award winning director/producer/scenarist, not asked him at the end of the interview, so how many films have you made, Mr. Spike Lee. Really kind of a fail on Kathie Lee Gifford's part, who also should have let Hoda Kotb maybe take the lead on this interview. I don't know, maybe I am being really picky here. But I cannot imagine other equally famous and distinguished directors being interviewed in this manner on this show. And I don't really watch these two ladies much either, kind of lightweights.

    This is a must-see movie! If we want to heal racism, we must go back to its origin in history. To the foundation of its archetype and recognize its existence in the present time. This movie delivers a powerful motivation to dismantle the archetype of racism. It forces each of us to question what do we stand for!

    Ya, this movie will help bring the blacks and whites together. This will show that all whites are racist, that it's all a conspiracy of the white man to keep the black man down. It will also show how tv commercials showing interracial couples and blacks love hanging out with whites and spend vacations together. I guess the klan racist hate crap never comes up on tv commercials or if your white your racist so just ignore the hate directed at them. Ya right, this movie is a revenge agenda and solves nothing and blacks can't be racist.

    This movie is getting a good review, but here's my problem.....Spike Lee can be a messy storyteller. Some films just don't hit the spot for me. His earlier movies did, but his later ones didn't. I saw Chi-Raq which I enjoyed but only because it was unconventional and told through rhyme. He seemed to un-cover every stone but it was "unfulfilling". As much as I want to see this movie, I can't be disappointed again. I was disappoined with a Quiet Place. And barely enjoyed Mission Impossible. There are some movies better left to VOD or TV.

    If you're gonna do a period piece it is incumbent upon the director to do it right. Ridley Scott does it right. So does Scorsese. Spike Lee doesn't. Although, to be fair, he used to get it right. Malcolm X was, in my estimation, perfect.

    • @dlon4539
      @dlon4539 6 лет назад

      Martin Hyizna America has no periodic pieces, it's a mish mash of pop culture. Respect to Scorcese for keeping it real

      You couldn't even take the time to read the comment and you're going to try to dictate what I can say? I live in Hollywood and work in the industry. What do you do? So once again it should be called BlackPhoneOperator because all the black cop did was talk on the phone.
