David has a degree in vocal performance from Baylor U.. I’ve followed his career for 3 decades and the older he gets the better his voice gets, if possible. There is no genre he cannot master! I’m a vocal coach and he knows his voice and how to use it..but most of all, when singing sacred songs, he truly believes what he sings-a truly anointed voice!
Actually heard David sing this live last August in my hometown in NC. When he sat down at the keyboard and played the first two notes I knew I was about to hear my all time favorite from him! I nearly cried tears of joy! It was absolutely incredible! LOVE LOVE LOVE DAVID PHELPS! He’s definitely anointed and carries the message of Christ through song to the world. I’ve said before that David is a preacher and his songs are his sermons! Live Like A King is a prime example. Thanks Dennis for reacting to this song.
