Now it’s 9 years later
Now it's 10!
As Chinese, hotpot has always been my top list for friends dining together. It's so easy to prepare and save your time of cooking, and most importantly, really tasty. Just always remember to store some concentrated liquid broth, sauces, sliced meat and veges in your fridge, and you'll good to go. I strongly recommend all people who doesn't try hotpot to give it a shot. (except for those on diet xd)
Is that the same as ramen?
You didnt watch the video did you?@@Malik-Ibi
this is so informative for me who is not experienced with hotpot. really show me the know-how trick to eat hotpot. love it. thank you for this content

This was super fun to watch! I’ve been watching hot pot videos a lot on RUclips and now I want to make it. Great video, guys!
Today in my college Chinese language class, we spent most of the class time watching your videos related to food, your videos are Chinese professor approved ~
This was so enjoyable to watch! Educational and entertaining!
These guys are cool but not careless, and give you safety tips on how to eat it traditionally so to not burn your self. What a great team. I wish them multiple millions of hits!!
you guys are addicting! i found one of your videos and i was hooked right away. ive been watching one video after the other for around 4-5 hours now:b
Love everything you guys post wish I had more time to watch 😭
How Andrew turn his chopsticks the other way round when dealing with the raw food is just so brilliant!
i love you guys so much. i find your videos enjoyable and hilarious. and i seem to learn something new in each video. I'm a adopted asian and wish i new more about my culture. growing up i never wanted to be asian. i was adopted into a italian family. but I'm very grateful for your videos and now that I'm older I'm learning to embrace my asianess more and more. :)
I really enjoy these food 101 videos, I've eaten these kind of foods for years and could never recall the name or ingredients. Keep up the good work.
I say asian desserts next!
yes desert!!
asian desserts are sooooo rare since we never have them but only on occassions :3
do deserts!!!!! from any of theasian countries
SarangKae That is part of why they are so great!
Patbingsu ~ 💕😘
YASSS 👌
Asian desserts are the bomb 💣
I'll admit it. Hot pot looks delicious.
It is.
Q
WOOJONG I've eaten hot pots and its amazing! Trust me I'm really asian 😂😂😂
Woojong with the Word Uhhhh nothing to deny lol
And I admit... hot pot is DELICIOUS!
3 hours and still eating? The boss is gonna cry ,good job Fang bros
Monica S Restaurants like this are usually very party oriented, its pretty common to just sit there eat & drink & chat for hours as long as you don't go ape shit crazy
+Monica S With hot pot you do actually stay there for 3+ hours. It's a evening long meal, you also need to cook everything which takes time and between bites here and there, you enjoy the company of your friends and family. It's highly common so the owners of this restaurants would actually cry if you already leave within an hour or so xD
+Monica S other than what +cupcakekingdom said, that ur supposed to eat for 3 hr -ish/plus, they are clearly doing some advertisement for this hot pot restaurant, im sure the boss is more than happy to have them there for 3+ hours. ;)
20$ buffet might be worth it
20$ buffet might be worth it
I really love your videos, especially videos talk about Asian foods and snacks. Andrew seems very excited about what he gonna to eat, he is so focusing on putting those ingredients to the pot from 4:20 hahahah that's cute. Hot pot is so important in Asian culture !!
You guys put a smile at my face!!😀👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
holly god, watching you guys food channel makes me so hungry. Looks so tasty. God!
I live in NY and during the winters, it can get down to 10-15 degrees. There's no better feeling in the world than to get a nice hot pot with your peoples during a grueling winter where you are freezing your ass off on the way to the hot pot spot. That first bite is like a step from hell to heaven. West coast cats can never have this experience.
Come to Oregon for bi polar weather ❤️ then we'll see!
watch4theDROP I feel you buddy, I grew up near Russia, my entire childhood was " Winter is Coming ", there is no better feeling when eat hot pot or Korean BBQ while your life is basically Castle Black
@@MsWinglessButterfly just about to say that, I’m from bend myself lmao
OMgoodness! these guys cracked me up! I'll definitely watch more of their vids.
I sooo love you guys!!! thank you for enjoying food and helping others to adventure out and enjoy too... I LOOOOOOVE HOT POT
Thank you for showing us the "trick" of using the two ends of the chopsticks to handle raw and cooked food. People on "hot-pot" videos always complain when they see double-dipping; this would seem to be the solution.
Nick Hentschel From my personal experience, there is always two pairs of chopsticks at the Hot Pot places I went to (one plastic, one wood) so you can always just use one to handle the raw food and one to handle the cooked food.
Regina Pericolosa Not mine, I'm afraid, but I've only been to one "place."
+Nick Hentschel i love how you always do "this"
+Nick Hentschel I wouldn't worry too much about hot-pot etiquette. Our family think it's ridiculous to flip chopsticks back and forth. The tip of the chopsticks will be constantly hot anyways when fishing for food in the hot-pot so you don't have to worry about contamination. Plus, if you're eating a raw egg, then using the other end of the chopstick is useless. The double-dipping is solved by pouring sauce into your own bowl, we always do this. bon appétit!
do another type of hot pot when riche is there
my friend and I just had hot pot for lunch. He's had it before at his house and while at a friend's house, but I've never had it before. Not only did I find the food delicious, and the style really fun... I really like what this video was saying about friends and community... I'm impressed with this dish.
I am Mexican American and I love hot pot! My friend Ally cooked it for me once and I was obsessed! I am making some today for dinner on this cold spring day.
first invitation to a hot pot with my neighbors. Taiwanese - yall got me in the know, thanks
The excitement and dancing they did in the beginning is the same exact faces I make. I love hot pot lol
Have never seen any of their clips but these guys are hilarious!
I love u guys. Keep working hard!
I went to a restaurant called little lamb in Chinatown chicago last week. I HAD NO IDEA HOW TO USE IT. my waiter couldn't speak much English and he didn't explain much to me even after I aksed and told him I'm new. It was a fail I wish I saw this video first. But I'm going back and doing it again. FIGHTING!
RoxieRihnosaures lol we also got a restaurant called little lamb in Chinatown in a different state
Your food videos are the best!!! Please do cooking videos! It would be cool to see what/how you guys cook!!! :)
I love all your videos !!
Very informative, entertaining, great job guys!
Hot Pot and Beers! Seriously yummy!
Ok I'm a non-asian but I f*cking love these guys they are hilarious.
This looks like so much fun! Looks yummy too! I might have to invest in buying a set like this.
I love your food videos :)
Richie said he wants his sauce simple, it was toooootaly simple
Fun video guys, but I somewhat disagree with your summary of order-of-cooking food items. Generally, you should cook meats first -- it lends more flavor to your soups while veggies (especially the leafy kinds like spinach and watercress) and tofu (especially deep-fried) tend to soak up all the oils from the soup (which reduces the flavor intensity of the broths, something you don't want to happen too quickly -- remember, all restaurants will do is just add more WATER to your pots if they see the volume get low!). In addition, more meats at the beginning ensure you're getting good value for your meal; last time I checked, most people don't go to hot pot for all-you-can-eat veggies. You can also put in starchier veggies (e.g., potatoes), hard root veggies (e.g., daikon and lotus roots), and mushrooms (for flavor) at this time. After most of the meats are eaten, then you can start putting in leafy veggies and tofu. Traditionally, most people finish the meal with some noodles and the soup (which is just FANTASTIC at the end since it's been cooking all the meats and veggies!). However, the caveat for Cantonese hot pot is that this meal is very acidic (especially the spicy broths!) and is relatively high in sodium (because of the seasonings in the broths and sauces) (which can lead to hypertension, a genuine health concern in our culture...)....
hmrhuang I'm not reading this haha you thought
My parents always told me to not drink the broth at the end for some reason. But I still drink it anyway
@@ExcuseMe881 wht is #broth
Going for the first time & this was helpful!
I know my comments get lost in the fold of meaningless opinions, but i felt compelled to praise this educational and well compiled and edited video. I thought the funny side jokes were entertaining and engaging, but the close at around 6:30 where you explain the nostalgic feeling of family brings the whole meaning full circle. Thanks for the education and well thought out production
Hey, can you guys make an Indian food video?
That would be so cool!
Yes plzzz
I love mongolian hot pot. Its soo good. Theres a place here in Ottawa, Canada where its an all you can eat, but you have to get up and get the ingredients aside from the lamb and beef lol my favourite, quail eggs and baby squid and octopus
Glad to hear y'all mentioned Mongolian food, I watch your videos all the time when I get hungry and imagine me eating the food y'all are eating lol good stuff keep it up. Hope one day you all will eat at a Mongolian restaurant. :)
Great video! Super funny and informative!
You guys know what im about to suggest right!? Its time for them to eat some xiaolongbao. Din tai fung where u at!
Xiao long bao ftw
omfg yesssss, they should have done it for the dim sum 101

Din tai fung is kinda overrated, but its still gr8
Remember to get the Uan Joung Beef Noodles and The Shrimp egs fried rice! :)
man, this is the only downside to living out in the country. No Hot pots and no good asian food. Man mega bummer. This made my mouth water and no way to satisfy my cravings.
all these food videos are great but this is the one that made me the most hungry! *-*
Thank you for this ! I went to a hot pot spot today and had no clue what I was doing , now I’m ready for next time

I tried my first hot pot meal tonight and LOVED it!
you guys should talk about the difference btwn cantonese and mandarin. not language wise, but culture.
Thai hot pot is da best !!
This was an excellent sum up of hot pot. I didn't feel like typing everything out when trying to enlighten a friend to it so I just showed him this.
Awesome video as usual.
DAH BEEN LOU! (Cantonese)
LAO FOOD PLEASE!
I ordered my hot pot yin yang heating pan from Ebay yesterday. I have the single pot method going with the Tom Yum sauce going until it arrives. I had this in Beijing a month ago, and I thank you guys for putting this up here. It gave me the incentive to order my own. checked with Publix meat who will cut what I need. Awesome video guys.
You guys are awesome. Hot pot = tasty memories. I wonder if you guys would do a video on sushi for those who are scared of sushi, and the difference between sushi and sashimi and stuff. I love me some sushi :P
Thanks for this... Most embarrassing resteraunt moment...going for Hot Pot in Flushing NY by accident just because at 3pm friend thought it looked busier than the Korean place and had a cute sign... Then not knowing what the hell to do while texting Chinese friend, and StILL messing it up with not ordering enough food, putting sauces directly in the pot and having a silent war w/ the waitress over the table being on or not (my friend didn't like the smoke in her face when she was done)... >< will have to go back and try it again... Just not at THAT one...
Korean BBQ!!!
i love these guys
I love these videos! Loved the 626 SGV video! I'm an ATL native and would love to see more of these local places and possibly pay a visit next time I'm in LA, it's like the travel channel but better cuz it's with cute brothers AYYYEEE!
You should do Filipino food!
I want to try hot pot :( that looks so good to eat on a chilly winter day :3
That looks delicious. This is something you eat with family and friends; it’s better than eating by yourself. I’ve ate hot pot with my family and relatives and it’s so much fun . The arguing and loud talks are just hilarious
My local hot pot spot was playing this video on the tv 😂😂😂 yall made it

Monsieur Bernoulli let's get married
Khim Teoh That sounds amazing!
What's your instagram?
Sounds so good😍
So fun to watch
Plz do more of thisss
raindrop, hot pot
Do a Vietnamese food video. Like rice and BBQ pork or some other things. Richie might be familiar with that.
I LOVE YOU GUYS! AWESOME ⚜
Going to be trying hot pot on my Birthday. Another item off my bucket list
We french people call it fondue, lol. Too bad Hollywood and America is still not ready for Asians in the entertainment business, because you guys should have a tv show.
When Hollywood isn't emasculating Asian males and give us more presence, then that will be the day. For now, Asian youtubers is what I put my faith in.
Netflix?
Do sushi 101!!!!!!
I agree
SUSHI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
love your food videos. whats your favorite instant noodles brand?
Thanks GUYS. I really appreciated this video. 😉
hey y'all know i love these east/southeast asian cuisine videos, but how 'bout you guys change it up and try south asian food? definitely try some pakistani restaurants if there are any good ones around your area!
That'll be cool. Pakistani briyani is the best.
OCSleazy ughh yes i just had some for dinner!
U guys should get yr group channel, nit racist any but we want talk about closer to home, east asians, chop stick users, so we don't feel lost, in anotger world, plus this channel just small young kids, can't cover too wide. U should have like south asian group channel to explain 2nd gen about their own old traditional ways, food of india, pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, by the way I love curry, I got have it once month, so bread once a week, taco 1s 2 week, these none easterners stuffs. Oh by the way, Fungbro should have show about eastern version of curry, especially Vietnamese 1, they use sweet yam, potato, coconut n eat with vietnamese bread, oh its so good. U got try it man or women, I can't telllfrom yr own language name.
trinhcuong1961 i think that even though south, southeast, and east asians are so different, we are all still asian and that's what brings us together! but you're right, but i would like to see some mainstream youtubers discuss south asian cuisine since south asian are underrepresented in the asian community (in my opinion) but i understand what you mean!
trinhcuong1961 "we want" lol who is we? don't speak for the rest of the asian race
How much is the rent? I want to move in with you guys.
I'd like to know too haha. We need to chill some time Fung Bros and Richie. Too bad you guys are on the other side of the states.
This was awesome! You guys are insanely funny!
Thank you for the sauce mixing tips! Very helpful
Just had some with the fam
I'm glad to know eating hotpot is a messy affair for everyone. I went to one yesterday and felt embarrassed trying to eat without spilling any drops, but it was no use. Messy eating, but *so* worth it
obssesed with Andrews super asian face at 4:06 lol is creepy that I keep replaying to see it? hahahaha
why didn't he put on his extra shirt earlier? xD
