Making a lampshade | Ikea hack DIY | Upcycling an old light

Today I am upcycling an old Ikea floor lamp and making it look like new. The lampshades were originally made out of rice paper and it had been beaten up pretty bad over time. (An old version of the Magnarp lamp) I decided to give them a DIY make over by replacing the lampshade with a new piece of fabric and giving the base a new color. I am using a neutral colored fabric and redoing the wiring on the lamps as well to give them a new life!
