    Im curious how many viewers are nerdy home owners like me, vs actual professionals working or looking to work in the trade.

    As a former aircraft electrician I did not have to learn codes like industry electricians but the math is the same. I found it really easy after I memorized the ohms law wheel. When I sat down to test the first thing I did was right out the wheel on my scrap paper. After that every math problem was a breeze.

    LOL, I took the Master Electrician test in 1993 for City of El Paso(pass, no grades were given at that time). Then took the Master Electrician exam in 2005(pass, 86) for the State of Texas. I had others tell me it is harder now than it was then. So to see for myself. I took the Texas Master Electrician exam in 2019. I was accused of cheating by the proctor as I got a perfect score. Took weeks while they reviewed the tape. I was in their building and their cubicle testing facility. So no, all those out there saying it is harder now than back then, are those who have no idea how to study for and use the code book. Also back then you had to pass both portions (open book part 1 and closed book part 2) in the same day. Fail one, and you fail. Now you can pass one and take the other in up to a year later. Again, no way it is harder now than back then. Electricians just need to study more and watch good videos like this one. Quit watching the wanna be handyman telling you bad information. Also congrats on your 91%.

    Great video! Thank you. Been servicing and repairing pools in another state for years, now that I am in TX I need to get my license and have no idea what to study. This helped!! Question, can we use any tab system in the code book or do they have to be like what is in yours? I bought the book on Amazon, it did not come with tabs.

    ive been a pool cleaner for 5ish months and want to get this cert so i can get a pretty hefty raise in the company i work for. Do you think i should work as a pool cleaner for a while longer to get more experience, or would the extra pool cleaning experience not necessary for RAIL?

    • @abrelectric
      @abrelectric  Месяц назад

      @stikzr3631 pool cleaning experience won't help passing this test. Time in electrical trade and in the Code book will get you across the finish line. I have workshops at least once a month to get you comfortable with the Book. Get a soft cover 2023 NEC and reach back out.
