red velvet’s group concept reflects its name: the red side represents the more poppy/energetic songs, most of the time being very weird sounding (in a fun and good way), whereas the velvet side is their more mature/dark and rnb songs. sometimes these sides are mixed in songs, like in their most recent comeback. the verses and bridge are dark and the chorus is poppy and bright sounding. they can literally pull off any concept.
Red Velvet has a lot of good songs to listen, bc they are b-side queens as Joy said before the song 'Oh Boy'.It seems like almost half of the songs they chose this time are their b-side songs.
This is the aesthetic of RV, it's all very unexpected but you will love it. Since their debut they play so much with genres, types, range and concepts. Their b-sides are amazing!!!!
Zimzalabim is a fan favorite especially at concerts. It wasn't part of a concert and they had asked the fans what song they wanted to hear and everyone yelled Zimzalabim. The girls were surprised that that was what they wanted but they did it and tore the roof off the place. They didn't even have the track for it so they had use the regular song and said they'll just singer louder. After that is was included in the rest of the tour
26:07 it's not a kdrama more like a tribute to Sewol Ferry Tragedy back in 2014, but it's a fan theory though but the MV's is really depressing if you take a loot at it, that's why they thought it was a tribute
