You go Evan with the medical situation! It is really important to advocate for yourself concerning healthcare. Doctors, labs, clinics, ect. have a multitude of patients and have the best of intentions, but things fall through the cracks. The squeaky wheel gets oiled. Carlin I will continue to pray for you! Living in limbo is hard! Wow, the new pool and deck area is impressive. Looks like the party with friends was a success!

A good quality wooden swing set will wear out about the time the kids loose interest in it. Sealing the wood if it’s self. Hilt is the key. Gotta let that wood dry out 6-10 months before staining or painting it.

Carlin, been praying for you since the beginning. I was diagnosed January with Epilepsy. Seen a new neurologist and he seems to think I don't have seizures at all. So will be going for a second EEG. I focal awareness seizures. Living with over 20 years with different neurological health issues.
Carlin you are not alone. It can be so hard to wrap your mind around what is going on. As well as making sure you have the right medical team taking care of you. We can pray to our Almighty Physician who keeps his hands around us daily, while we wait for answers. Will continue to pray for you as well as for Evan and your children. Just know your family are not alone. Hugs from Wisconsin
Hey Carlin 🥰 - I totally get it when you say you are not ready to talk about it.
I am having spinal surgery in 4 days (again). I have been waiting on this surgery for 10 months, most of that spent flat on my back in bed. I injured my back when I was 16 ( I am now 53) falling 3m down a waterfall on school camp. I have suffered ever since. You just get to the point where you are sick to death answering questions about your health. I would rather talk about my worm farm !!
I am sending you all the strength and prayers you need to get through this rough patch in your life. There are ups and downs the whole way through life without having a problem with your health coming into the fact.
If you are not wanting or ready to talk about this on your vlogs - don’t. It is no one’s business except those in your family and those you wish to include.

Y’all will LOVE your blackstone, can cook sooo many things on that thing. We have a small one we take on our camping trips. Hubby loves cooking on it and this wife does too (I don’t have to do all the cooking😉)!!!🤗

They have support service dogs for people who pass out a lot. It’s very fascinating. They warn you before you fall. Praying for answers for you! I know how that is when you know something isn’t right but nothing is found… everything comes back normal. Praying.

I went to the doctor for some blood work. The results were in two weeks prior to my appointment and I assumed all was good until I got there. He started with “ We got some things to discuss but first this…..”. Now I have more testing to do to identify what autoimmune disease I have. If you want to know your results call especially if it puts your mind at ease. I’ve learned never to assume no news is good news anymore.

As a nurse, I always tell patients to get their results and don’t assume no news is good news. Sometimes things can fall through the cracks and we don’t want that to happen to you.
Exactly. We're short-staffed everywhere, burnt out, and things fall through unfortunately. I ALWAYS encourage my patients to advocate for themselves, follow up with everything, get clarification on everything, and don't be afraid to ask ALL of their questions!

Just jump in the shower and shampoo repeatedly-it comes out! Not a horrible experience, just a little annoying at times.
@@cindimiller6929 I had a hard time getting it out. They came in multiple times a day to glue some back down. I couldn’t get out of bed so I slept a lot. My granddaughter sat on the bed and they came running in because the weight shifted.

No news from the dr office is great! It’s when they call you on the way home or with in hours of getting the test results that is worrisome. I’ll never forget when I found out my daughter needed kidney surgery. I wasn’t even 1/2 way home from her having a VCUG test when the dr called saying she was going to need surgery. We unfortunately have had a lot of medical issues over the years so when I don’t hear back from a doctor for days. I know I can breathe easy!
I would have loved to have seen more of your children having fun at the water park, so FUN!!!💕💕 They were loving it!! Have a great weekend!!

On another note that usually makes people uncomfortable … it did me in the beginning of educating myself fully on subject.

I started educating myself on parasites. Discovered more than I bargained for or thought on the subject… any that eat out, eat pork of any kind, fish, sushi etc, have parasites. They are know to cause pain, joint inflammation, lethargy, seizures, lupus, MS, gut issues, etc etc…I ask you educate by reading in-depth along with peoples testimonies… my whole family did parasite cleanse over 4 years ago and have been doing them regularly since. Truth is we each have our own story and ways we do it. But, feel better getting rid of diagnosed issues that now, well we no longer have.
Saddest part is finding out, doctors are not going to check or do proper test, period. I guarantee if you bring info to an office visit, their not going to take you seriously most likely not believe what you educated self about. Sometimes we HAVE to discern our own health. I have gone barefoot my whole life and these can be picked up from this, although going barefoot is very healthy.
We have used diamond G terp, Fenbenadol type cleanse which they use this for healing cancer if patients med team uses, stories on this that nan had vet ask a friend and prescribed for him healing his cancer.
Anyways, hope you look into this more.
Love that grill and your egg cracking skills. Wow I’m impressed. Glad you can visit family often. Be thankful they are in easy driving distance. We have 1 1/2 hour to my MIL but 14 hours to my parents. So it’s great you have so much family nearby. Hope you get results soon on the scan.

You'll pay a higher interest rate, the housing market is crazy. You won't find a house in your price range. Your house will go higher even $100,000 over what you paid. New builds are going for less then existing and you never should pay what they ask, it's like buying a car don't pay asking and wheel n deal. But the way the housing market is right now. If you bought a house at these high rates then everything crashed and you couldn't afford your house you'll never get our it what you paid, you'll be forced to foreclose. The economy is soon to crash, do not move

Evan's family is very supportive and there is a closeness there among family members. However, once married, you leave your family of origin and cleave to your wife and make your own family. This comes from someone who did not get to experience the leave and cleave. My husband when we were married cleaved more to family of origin rather than the family we were starting together.
I love your family; both sides. I adore Zach and Whitney and their love for his siblings and hers. I love your faith to God and to each other. I love how you girls dress and are not fake. Your a large family who has a strong family faith and yet you girls are full of fun, music, TV, clothes & makeup. Your brothers are amazing young me who jumps in and help in a second. Evan's family is so wonderful and its no wonder you visit often as you can. When you got sick that one time; all of them jumped into take care of you while you were on the floor. They took care of Evan and the kids it makes a person proud to know your always in safe hands. I pray you get the answer soon to your health issue. Thank you for sharing your family with us all. So glad so many of you have Channels. ❤❤❤ Yes I think it would be nice if you moved there BUT you too are so close to brothers and sisters and your church. What if you guys bought a second home as a come stay and visit house so all you got to do is go there and stay a few weeks or longer. Your siblings could come and stay at that place too. So many what ifs and could be's but it all comes down to who would you miss the most.

Hey guys, hope your having a great day. Just wanted to say when you call the doctors and they don't get back to you call again and again until they do. Yes they are busy but you need answers. This isn't rude or mean it's just what you have to do because they are busy and you are being overlooked.
Knoxville is Home Now. But it’s perfectly normal to feel that way Evan. You grew up there.

My husband has a big one and also a smaller portable one. Make sure to take care of it always. Especially rain and for us snow. It is great you can even cook breakfast on it!

As a person who has been through significant health issues for the past two years (seven cardio versions in 14 months), and whose doctor and EP department refused to respond to even other doctors who went to bat for me at the Clinic, believe me when I say that even though it seems like you should be able to trust your doctor and his/her staff, you have to advocate for, or a more accurate term is, FIGHT for yourself/loved one. It seems that since Covid (my experience) there is greater dysfunction between staff, doctor, and patient. Be proactive; call every three days until you get an answer. I have had medical people who have coached me in how to get the help that I need. If they don’t call you, call them, and don’t stop until you get an answer. To not keep up with things may jeopardize Carlin’s health. It did mine.

I say YES to Nashville! Definitely know your family would love it! Plus all the help you would have with the kids. The only problem would be y’all’s jobs are in Knoxville. Nashville is a wonderful city all but the afternoon traffic! Which I know Knoxville has the same bad traffic problems. Thanks for sharing and I’m so glad Carlin is learning to love baseball ⚾️. Evan it is 100% ok to be nostalgic when you are at the home where you grew up! I am proud of you and Carlin for tackling these big life problems…just keep communicating and loving each other! The kids are so adorable!! Keep working on the health issues and we pray that Carlin’s medicine is working. I am so thankful for you two and you telling your story. Since I have watched your journey, my daughter was diagnosed with epilepsy. She is doing well now but it has been a very hard year for her and us but we see God working in our lives. You have the humidity, here in Michigan we have had the smoke from the Canadian fires, and you can smell it. It looks like fog. People with breathing issues have been having a really hard time. If you ever want to go someplace really beautiful for vacation, the Upper Peninsula in Michigan, is so beautiful, so many beautiful places to visit in the U.P., but probably best to go during the summer.
You will love the black stone we have 2 a big one n a small one! I understand you Evan every time we go back to our home town there’s always that longing. All of our family on both our sides is gone but that sweet feeling of familiarity and memories still draws us.

Evan you're so right about making the best memories doing things that don't cost $! My family didn't have alot of money but we sure we were rich in other ways. We spent time together and I have the best memories of growing up in the 80's and 90's going fishing with my daddy, catching lizards in the little stream behind the house, going for walks with my mama and her tucking me in at night telling me stories about her childhood. We went on one big vacation to Disney and honestly it was so hectic I can't even remember many details. It seems like parents nowadays concentrate so hard on taking their kids to all these expensive places and doing all the things everyone else is doing but your kids will remember the time y'all spent together...the everyday things

Yes, you need your family’s help/support whenever there is an accident/emergency. Plus the Doctors and Hospitals seem to be better in Nashville. The Bates are also there for you guys, however, they have many commitments and can’t be as available. You guys are blessed to have two families who are willing to help. You as the caregiver also need help/support from your family. I know you are a grown man, but, you sometimes just need a 🤗 from your Dad 😀. You do need a job with good health insurance. Obviously I don’t know what you guys really need. I’m just going by what you share in your videos. I pray you guys choose what is best for your family needs. God will be with you wherever you go. ☮️💖🙏

I suffer from seizures and I have to take medication for it and its very frustrating because there is no one in my family that goes through it. I was able to have children they didnt get epilepsy which Im very grateful for I have been through many tests still no answers ,I can relate to what Carlin is experiencing,take care.
I'm so jealous of Carlin!! She went to see the Yankees in their new stadium before me! Knoxvillian also and the Yankees have been my team since the 80s. But so happy she was able to get away on a girls trip.
Don't forget! Lawson & Tiffany are in Nashville too. That's another plus.

Evan’s family is so supportive so I can see why a move to Nashville would give you all more family support and a closer family circle. But commuting from Nashville to Knoxville to work doesn’t sound very doable, unless you can do all of your work remotely and rarely ever show up at the boutique.
Carlin’s family is so supportive too, they just have SO many in their family. Just because we don’t see every second of every day of their lives doesn’t mean they don’t see, or get support from, her family also🤷♀️. I’ve seen plenty of times where Warden or Jackson or Isaiah or Trace or Gil is helping Evan with a project. and Ellie or Addallee or Callie or Michaela is there with Carlin or is babysitting, or Kelly is visiting and helping Carlin with something, 🤷♀️.
The boutique (their jobs) are in Knoxville..
