Hi DefinitelyRussian. You won't personally know me but I have been seeing some of your comments in regards to what I would call rare games on the PS2 and I don't mean ROR. I am basically trying to explore every game released as well as get information on cancelled games but as you know from researching this yourself, it seems quite improbable to compile a complete PAL PS2 list. I really love the clean spines of PAL PS2 games. I am gonna start making custom covers for my GB/C/A games in music cases and vor my SNES games in VHS cases and I am gonna make them just like Pal PS2. Looks much more elegant and tidy.
I 100% agree, the PAL spines are so uniform and different. Makes it easier when spotting them in the wild haha. That sounds pretty cool! Look forward to an update on that :)

Found you through my Ps2 pal list research actually and heard you maybe currently making your own list so good luck with it. 😉 To do this takes a lot of research and time which people don't understand due to the ridiculous amount of games cancelled just before release as well as the little information across the Web of what was and what wasn't cancelled. I've noticed there is a lot of random compilations such as the red (green and a blue as well but not seen a yellow confirmed) Phoenix Air Raid 3 triple pack which I am super blessed to own, plus steel backs, regional club footballs and Singstar as well as odd limited editions... and that's just Pal. Can't imagine how crazy US and Japan are, however I would love the gold Japanese console but its a great console with so many great games which are worth tearing through also. 👍

Whoa, that's quite a ton of PAL PlayStation 2 video games! I also didn't know you can play UK PAL PlayStation 2 games on Australian/Oceanian PAL PlayStation 2 consoles. Do they have different PAL regions combined into each disc or something? Just curious to see if it's true. Thanks!

I always thought European and Australian PAL video games for consoles were region-locked separately until now due to the fact VHS tapes, DVDs and Blu-ray discs were region locked in most European countries as "PAL (Region 2)" and Oceania as "PAL (Region 4)." Now that you mentioned it, I might import at least a few Australian PAL PlayStation 2 video games, along with a UK PAL PlayStation 2 and several UK PAL PlayStation 2 games, and buy a UK-to-USA power adapter, and a PAL-to-NTSC converter at some point in the future. Thanks for your clarification! I do appreciate it.
such a huge collection that takes so much space must of took a while to get a collection like that, shame i would say at least 1000 of the games are really low end sport or kiddie games, also majority the cases are not in good condition so couldn't imagine how the discs are, for me its quality over quantity still impressive to have 1400 ps2 games though!

I own both ps3 and ps4. I love both consoles. Its a shame its all going digital.. I think ive only gained about 100 games since then. Which is not great but the collection is still growing :)

Thank you!! Wow you're doing well at 300 :) So i use a website called Retro Collect and it says that there's around 2230 games for the PAL region, but that's not right as ot doesn't include every Club Football title. So I'm not sure what the exact number is..

I live in Portugal (PAL region) and I also collect video games (PS4, PS3, Switch, GameBoy and PSP) but now I want to start collecting PS2, PS1, Dreamcast games because there are a lot of titles I want to play! But I don’t know what to do because I prefere NTSC versions over PAL due to 60hz over 50hz. For me it’s more convenient to collect PAL but I think I prefere NTSC... what do you recommend? (Also I need to make my systems region free)
Thanks! I'd recommend PAL, easier for yourself and quite a few games have the option for playing it in 60Hz, so it'll be like playing the NTSC version :)
Wish i had a Guncom and a TV to be able to use it properly so i could record the footage for them... But I Own a couple of GunCom games, I'm pretty sure. Time Crisis games are actually quite expensive now..

Impressive. But eye toy kinetic were 4 games : kinetic, kinetic combat, kinetic Total fitness and kinetic Total Commander. And you dont have eye toy Chat and chat light (2diffreent dvd, same cover)

I think i tried the first one for an hour on stream one time but i can't remember. I just remembered the whole MMO aspect of it and seeing "NPC Humans" running around...

Robert Ballenger yeah it was, about $350 expensive.. If i have any extra dollars lying around, and i know i dont need it for necessities i would go out and see what i can get. at the moment, funds are damn tight so its growing at a much slower pace that it did a year ago..

Currently I have around 800 but began the collection backwards by trying to collect all the rarer titles first to get them out of the way, but it's been easier said than done. I believe I have all the phoenix and Essential titles but have really struggled with Indian and Australian exclusives.

Hi. I am getting a PAL PS2 from a friend in Australia. I was wanting to know if you could recommend some really good Pal PS1/PS2 exclusives that I should get? I already have Broken Sword the Sleeping Dragon coming as it waz only released on Xbox in NTSC... I really enjoy rpgs and point and click adventure games.

You'll be surprised without how many games are on PS2. But by this time, Sega was owned by all 3 so That collection was on Xbox (I think), Gamecube and PS2.
Yeah so the PS2 is region locked, without having your console modified by an illegal chip, you cannot play NTSC-U titles on a PAL console and vice-versa
My question is: why? I mean, why a fullset? Do you like ALL ps2 games? If not why collecting stuff that most likely you will never play to? If you think about it, when you die all that pile of cases will end up to trash (even if you had kids they would consider these games like "old sh*t" and they'll get rid off all them for 500 bucks) that is why I'll never collect anything, I don't want when I die my things are trashed and no one gives them the value I would give to it. I just enjoy the collection aspect of it. Sure there are games I'm not too keen on but i created this channel to play through every PS2 game so in order to do that I'll need to own them all haha. I would maybe try and sell them before i died but I'm hoping thats still 60 odd years away from now

Yeah, Kessen & Twin Calibur. But also: 'All-Star Baseball 2004' has a player from the game swinging a bat, 'RC Racer Revenge Pro' Basically has all black with a partial chequered flag, 'Super bust-a-move' is just the NTSC-U spine artwork, stands out like dogs bollocks, 'X-Squad' has a Small Black Curve on the Base of the spine. That's from what I currently own right now, I don't own Twin Calubir but I know of the blood splat.
yea cheers man I just had a look at my modest collection and also world rally championship has a yellow ribbon that wraps around the spine if you were interested. im collecting ps2 games but avoiding the shovelware.lol. going for full set of original gameboy games and there is enough shovelware on that.

Pshyched Plays PS2 most of them ya my brother has some stuff I don’t have but I played his games wich I do want my own copy still so I can have it as my own when I get a house plus he’s older so he will move out sooner than me so it’s not like I can always borrow games but just recently I bought on eaby tenchu wrath of heaven, 007 nightfire, naruto ultimate ninja 2 and mortal kombat deception wich is game I grew up with but i wanted to have my own copy so I still get games I haven’t played but I am re buying some games like samurai warriors we had but broke so I got another one

+Retro Sorkas hey, oh awesome nice job! Are they all Black Label? :P Ive been asked this a could of times.. Its no issue really, the problem is the postage to other countries is insane compared to the price of the games..
Only 2 games in my collection are Platinum, Silent Hill 2 -Director's Cut, which had no normal release, and WRC: Rally Evolved which i still don'd replaced to normal. Rest of them Black Labels. And yes postage cost most of time more expensive than game itself, so only good option to have help from other collector and combined shipping costs. Maybe i can send my wish game list, its should be really easy to get titles in your country.
Eh i could say the same for ntsc games haha but not much you can do about it. There are more PAL games than ntsc games and ofcourse games specific for each region too. I wish the neopets game came to PAL as that actually looks good!

Nope, PAL is just a single region. NTSC has the 2 different region formats, UC and J.

So i use a website called Retro Collect and it says that there's around 2230 games for the PAL region, but that's not right as ot doesn't include every Club Football title. So I'm not sure what the exact number is..

I live in Portugal (PAL region) and I also collect video games (PS4, PS3, Switch, GameBoy and PSP) but now I want to start collecting PS2, PS1, Dreamcast games because there are a lot of titles I want to play! But I don’t know what to do because I prefere NTSC versions over PAL due to 60hz over 50hz. For me it’s more convenient to collect PAL but I think I prefere NTSC... what do you recommend? (Also I need to make my systems region free)

I'd recommend PAL, easier for yourself and quite a few games have the option for playing it in 60Hz, so it'll be like playing the NTSC version :)

Robert Ballenger yeah it was, about $350 expensive.. If i have any extra dollars lying around, and i know i dont need it for necessities i would go out and see what i can get. at the moment, funds are damn tight so its growing at a much slower pace that it did a year ago..

Oh awesome! How many have you collected? I personally started about 2 and a bit years ago.. Rarest titles would happen to be Phoenix Games limited releases.. Such as 'Ocean Commander', last I saw went for $600+ from the UK..
Currently I have around 800 but began the collection backwards by trying to collect all the rarer titles first to get them out of the way, but it's been easier said than done. I believe I have all the phoenix and Essential titles but have really struggled with Indian and Australian exclusives.

Yeah so the PS2 is region locked, without having your console modified by an illegal chip, you cannot play NTSC-U titles on a PAL console and vice-versa
My question is: why?
I mean, why a fullset? Do you like ALL ps2 games? If not why collecting stuff that most likely you will never play to? If you think about it, when you die all that pile of cases will end up to trash (even if you had kids they would consider these games like "old sh*t" and they'll get rid off all them for 500 bucks) that is why I'll never collect anything, I don't want when I die my things are trashed and no one gives them the value I would give to it. 'RC Racer Revenge Pro' Basically has all black with a partial chequered flag,
'Super bust-a-move' is just the NTSC-U spine artwork, stands out like dogs bollocks,
'X-Squad' has a Small Black Curve on the Base of the spine.

yea cheers man I just had a look at my modest collection and also world rally championship has a yellow ribbon that wraps around the spine if you were interested. im collecting ps2 games but avoiding the shovelware.lol. going for full set of original gameboy games and there is enough shovelware on that.

Ive been asked this a could of times.. Its no issue really, the problem is the postage to other countries is insane compared to the price of the games..
Only 2 games in my collection are Platinum, Silent Hill 2 -Director's Cut, which had no normal release, and WRC: Rally Evolved which i still don'd replaced to normal. Rest of them Black Labels. And yes postage cost most of time more expensive than game itself, so only good option to have help from other collector and combined shipping costs. Maybe i can send my wish game list, its should be really easy to get titles in your country.

Eh i could say the same for ntsc games haha but not much you can do about it. There are more PAL games than ntsc games and ofcourse games specific for each region too. I wish the neopets game came to PAL as that actually looks good!
