Can you connect to the router console port directly?
Do you have the correct cables and a laptop with suitable terminal emulation software?
What is your plan for collecting the volatile data from the router?
Start with noting the system time, and do this frequently throughout the information gathering process.
Is anyone else still logged in to the router? If so, this will directly impact your data collection as the user will be changing the volatile data.
