Having loved watched art RUclips videos for a couple of years, I think this is the first time I have commented. And it's to say I am absolutely disgusted people would criticise someone's work who is sharing it. Peoples creativity is subjective and I can't believe someone would criticise someone else's expression for absolutely no reason. It's not the spirit of enjoying creativity or sharing what we do. Thank you for this video, I really enjoyed it!
For me the subtle textural quality and subdue coloration of the piece was enough to be admired as is.. The literal addition was not necessary and distracting. Love your intuitive way of working.
Just looked this video, great canvas! I love the design , the colors , everything about it. The map showed up a little as you said. But what if it dont??? OMG , who cares? I do it all the time, because I never know what I am going to do as a next stap. I dont care AT ALL.
thank you Wilma Voermans ))) Indeed, sometimes the project goes its own way, without asking permission from the author)))) but mixed media is interesting with this, right?
The more I thought of the map I was thinking as we get older we realize there is no such thing as a map or that they do not bear much resemblance to reality. :) Very interesting art. Thank you!
Jacqueline Stigman thank you for your thoughts and it's pleasant that you give us a change to learn it ) I think thay are interesting and beautiful! Map - a good poetic and philosophic thing 😉 😘
Very cool and unique collage... love the result! I’m planning to do something similar that will highlight the new area I live in using a map as the backdrop... I’m going to do something similar in covering up the whole map and wiping away/masking only the city name so in the end viewers will know what mountain region I’m near. But that’s just me... I LOVE THE WAY YOU CREATED THIS COLLAGE! Thanks so much for sharing your time and talent! 😃
Why are there so many rude people commenting on this post? If you don't like it, move on. Artist's are artist's. They shouldn't have to explain, especially to RUDE PEOPLE. Just found your channel and subscribed. I love your style.
I like this. For those that don't get it, you put whatever paper you want down first. It doesn't matter if you cover it up because you will wipe away some of the top layers so the bottom layer can peek through. You cover it with a dark acrylic and wipe it away so the dark part settles in the creases adding more dimension and interest. I think this turned out great. People if you don't like it, don't comment. Or, let's see you do better. Diana
I love it, I try to emulate this type of mixed media, but it is hard to do, despite what the detractors think! It takes a special ability to not conform to the norm!
Love this. I have done a similar style myself. You might also consider covering each color layer with a thin layer of matte medium. Might allow for better color application and removal. Just a thought. Keep up the creativity.
thank you for your attention ;) You're right about layers of proactive medium! but in very this project it was not necessary for me - I have had my result ;) thank you one more time :*
I really like it a lot could you give an interpretation of this piece and what is that glass that you hang at the window looking forward to another beautiful video
I love watching these videos on mixed media, what i just don't get is why go through the trouble of gluing all the different papers, map etc if at the end there is no trace of it!
+G Lewis Map is visible in several locations through the medias' layers , but, unfortunately, in this video it is not visible - it's visible only on the result " inlive".
Your welcome :). don't listen to the people who don't have positive feedback. I'm sure you have far more talent and they are just being haters. I enjoyed your video
+cubomania3 pay attention to my previous answers - a lot of them here, and under another videos. Believe me, I have too many questions - and sometimes it is difficult to track.
+cubomania3 I noticed his question after received a message about your question - and answered))))))))))))) I'm not going to write a list - most people enough that have in the video, write a list - it will Be double the work.
+cubomania3 I used coarse nail file to smooth-smooth remove the paper at the edges - it's very convenient. Map is visible in several locations through the layers MEDIA, but, unfortunately, this video is not visible - is visible only on the result of "live". And I usually try to answer the questions))))) Under the previous question I could not answer, I just did not see the question. Notice how long the video is here - it is difficult to track all the questions. Be a little more tolerant
I agree that the map was irrelevant, but it is very characteristic of the artist to change his mind halfway, maybe that's why they call us artists, not librarians!
What is the purpose of adhere the map first? There was nothing left of it. And all those colours aplied then wiped off... I get it that it's supposed to be very artistic and deep and shabby, but frankly it just ends up a mess. You obviously have some great creativity and mad scissor skills. You are drowning your art in overdoing it...
Dredoma D I had bad lighting, so you can not see that the map is visible in some places - it adds depth! The colors that I cleaned, remained in small grooves and left a little shade on the surface - this is the usual method which can not be replaced by anything else, if you need the same result))) But in general - I tried to ensure visibility and old dark room where there is a chair. You have correctly noticed the mess on it))))) thank you))
Mell PellMell That was so classy. I was going to ask a ? about the map, as I wondered if it was picked for its texture or absorbency, but now I understand it was just evolution... Peace Gill
Sorry to say that, Sir, but obviously you have no idea how a mixed media canvas (or other surface) should look like. (I try to reply to the comment of Mordna D) This is a very well executed picture. I wish I was half as good as she is! Try to explore this area of art - believe me, it's worth your time!
AllyKatPerth I just have a bad lens and poor lighting in this video - map is visible in some places, very little!)) it creates an additional "deep" layer. thanks for your comment)))

I could never cut out as neatly as you do!
Cool, and enjoyed the music also! Very out of the box.

Wowww great job !!! I’ll try this ideas. Thank you for sharing 💐💐💐
Thank you for commenting 😘
I enjoyed watching your process and loved the end result. I'm sure I'm going to see this over and over again, to learn some new layering ideas.

Wow, Wow, Wow!!! 🙌 So fun to watch and can’t wait to try, sans the cut-out chair...not sure I could manage that ‘lil trick! 👌🅰️💯‼️🎨✅
You will win in this scissors' war))))))

Your welcome. LOL!
I totally agree with you it was just paper, she did a AWESOME JOB! YOU HAD HER BACK!
That is a very aggressive comment to make. Are all artists like this?
RosebudliasCabochons How were her comments aggressive??

I love it, I try to emulate this type of mixed media, but it is hard to do, despite what the detractors think! It takes a special ability to not conform to the norm!
The trick to be able to do this type of mixed media is actually simple. Practice will get you there.
Muy bonito!!
I was sad to see the map vanish after all the hard work you put into it being there :(
you have to know, the map is visible in real view! but I can't advice that visibility in video, sorry...
Beautiful! So talented!
I'm happy you like it) thank you :*
really, very beautiful. But without the sticker´s I think it would be better. But many thanks for the idea.
What song is this? It's so nice
De show, me encanta

Hi! May I know what was used to wipe the black acrylic off? Alcohol?
I really like it a lot could you give an interpretation of this piece and what is that glass that you hang at the window looking forward to another beautiful video
thank you))))) 😘
Just found this and it is FANTASTIC!! Love, love, love all the layers. Do you happen to remember the tune that accompanied the video?
loveswine2 this music is called "Prohibition Blues", but I do not know who performs it (((
... and thank you
I love watching these videos on mixed media, what i just don't get is why go through the trouble of gluing all the different papers, map etc if at the end there is no trace of it!
+G Lewis Map is visible in several locations through the medias' layers , but, unfortunately, in this video it is not visible - it's visible only on the result " inlive".
The layers add depth that you would not have without them.
👍👍👍👍👍👍❤
Love this :)

Thank you, you can see my other videos))) They are still a little bit, but I'm working on this))
Beautiful result. but why the map? It disappeared!
I wondered the same thing. Neat video though.
there map is visible in real view!)))))))) maybe I have not the best camera ;)
I can't see the map anymore, I like it though
wow.
Would like to know where you got that stencil. Loved your video.
+Ashley I don't remember)))))) toooooo many stansils)))))) sorry
I love the look of this and what how creative you were with the window and chair! What glue are you using in this video? I love the small tip on it!
Sheila Bligh i've used the PVA - it's the best glue for paper!
and thank you)))
Cool....
inspiredcaroline24 thanks))
What does "Open" mean in regards to the canvas?
Am watching but no sound so wondering what is the name of that thingee you use to shave the edges of the paper please. Many thanks
What is clear stuff you use in the beginning? Wax paper? Or?
+cubomania3 I used coarse nail file to smooth-smooth remove the paper at the edges - it's very convenient. Map is visible in several locations through the layers MEDIA, but, unfortunately, this video is not visible - is visible only on the result of "live". And I usually try to answer the questions)))))

+Bennie Mayberry This is a paper, which additionaly protect shoes in boxes in the store))))) Sorry - just didn't see your questions
+cubomania3 this video more than two years - I could have lost the password to my account, for example)))))))))))))))))
Super fun to watch. I love mixed media. Do you have any videos at large sizes? That’s where i get stuck since magazines,e tc, are small
прекрасный !
Ewa Konarska :*
Cool, whats the song?
I really like it and I get it. Id love to know what the tool is to cut the edges off? I've not seen that before.
melody spinrad ))) thanks))
the tool is the nail file for the acrylic nails)))) it's very hard - 80/80 - I like to use it for the paper)))
What for you made this what is the use of this ?? Please explain
What happened to the map👀. Me thinks you got a bit carried away🤭 lots of work put in though and some interesting ideas.
Why did you stick the paper on the board first, was it needed
what kind of glue do you use? thanks and great work!
PVA, white glue 🤷 But you have to find the tight one, not too liquid, to protect your projects from wrinkles.
You are amazingly talented. Thank you so much for sharing that with us. I wish you the best in life. And I LOVED the music. Who is that? Peace.
Wynn Dibble it's was so long ago... I don't remember trek and artist, but it's playing double-slow speed in my video)))))))
Mell PellMell I'm teaching an art class in Seattle and it really inspired me. Thanks for sharing it. Peace.
Wynn Dibble thank you))))) good luck and new year's wishes for you
From the beginning I had assumed the map was going to be the focus. I was so wrong. Why did you leave the map, were you lost?
Amei
I love the finished project....but I have a question....why the map? I don't see any indication that it shows through. Am I missing something?
No, it's just bad video quality (sorry for it). In real life you can see little hint of map in several places of resulted picture.
@@MellPellMell OK....thank you. That would be interesting to see.
Me gustan las técnicas! Buenas ideas para aplicar...sólo el mapa no era necesario o hubiera sido bueno dejar que se vea
great work! great music! If you don't mind, who's the musician for this tune?
Charvel S sorry, it was long time ago, I do not remember, what music that was...
I liked it too!
А могло быть не так деструктивно! Главное вовремя остановиться.
