Apparently shark skin is very abrasive and wears down the Orca's teeth. They can access the liver through a small tear.

      Fascinating! See, Shira! Neill cares!

@@Elmakapelma I blame it on the shortage of Orca dentists.

Re Sharks and Killer Whales, Scaz has hit the nail, re the nutritional value of the liver compared to other parts of the body. It contains many vitamins and minerals, so is very nutrient dense.

Shark skin used to be used by woodworkers as sandpaper

Lovely fun show as always, and the killer whale story *was* pretty interesting.
Thanks as always from a Kiwi Red Roses and Broses fan. 😂

    Love your Podcast !!!
It's one of the most nutrient rich part , they can remove it with amazingly surgical skill . The killer whales killing the sharks in SA are two brothers , that are nicknamed Port and Starboard , which relates to the fact that their dorsal fins are bent over in opposite directions to each others . This is caused I've heard by them not spending a lot of time down in the deep and more time up closer to the oceans surface . Their fins will never straighten again and are permanently folded over . Killer whales can grow to 9.8m in length and 6600Kg (M) , 8.5m in length and 4700Kg (F) where as Largest estimated Great White is Desp Blue 20-22ft long , 8ft high and 2268Kg which to an orca especially as they usually aren't alone means Most Great Whites are definitely way more prey than predator when Orcas are involved . It's why i think Great White Hsraks are not really true Apex Predators at all considering Orcas Prey upon them.

No matter the appearance or the metal parts of the kislux bag, I believe that as long as you are not a professional, you will never see any difference .

The liver in a shark is pretty huge, fills most of the ventral cavity

There's just too many Moism's to process in this episode. 😂 Normally, there's a couple that stick out, but it turned into a Moism tsunami. 😂

I've done my own shark investigations, and the baby shark song wasn't sung by actual sharks. The whole thing was a lie. I've never held the music industry in more contempt.

Can we talk about how Elma pronounced Canada at 2.58 of the podcast? 😅 Almost as good as Benedict Cumberbatch's pronunciation of penguins, as pointed out in a Graham Norton show. ruclips.net/user/shortsGflW9_t7LZk?feature=shared
    Is that an Afrikaans pronunciation?

It's a joke - changing the suffix to make it Canadia by analogy to Australia or Arabia

When I started collecting handbags, my goal was to have a luxury handbag collection of 50. Over the years, I’ve been amazed at how much the kislux has changed my perspective on how many bags I really need, and I’ve been pleasantly surprised with every bag I’ve purchased.
