What a striking car. It's a jewel. Belongs in a museum.
Museum ? No Car shows would be better
No museum for This car you drive It to weekend collector meets.
LOVE that color!!!💖
We had a 73 CoupedeVille identical interior/white top except the body color was medium silver metallic green. Beautiful Beautiful Beautiful!!
OMG! What a gorgeous automobile masterpiece! Breathtaking!!!
I love the color. Orange and raspberry was another pretty combination with white interior.
I have never seen a Cadillac in this color before. The condition of the paint and the interior is absolutely flawless! The 70s were very fond of browns and orange and black. I’m glad somebody took a chance and went with this color.
That color really takes you back...
I commented on this CdV a while back, but just re-watched it again...this car is Spec. Tac. U. Lar. What an amazing find. that color just glows...it almost looks like there might be some gold pearl in it. I have a '74 Corvette, orange, it has a little gold pearl in it. It must just pop in a sunset. Gorgeous dash. A low mileage CdV in this condition is amazing in itself, but this color sends it to a whole 'nother level. The want here is great, but am glad that the owner has it and preserved it. Funny how people are so adverse to color now...I bought a purple Charger right off the showroom floor and was amused by all the people walking by it commenting on how awful it was, or how they could never drive something like that. One person called it a Jolly Rancher.
It's my ultimate set of colors. I didn't know Caddy had them. You got yourself an amazing car.
An old schoolmate of mine had one of these - in this exact shade of green!
Wow, what a find! Your knowledge of Cadillac is superb. I thought I was the only one who noticed those type of details.
To think that when i was 12 years old living in the UK but n 1974 driving around in little teeny 4 cylinder cars Americans had this gorgeous Cadillacs no wonder some of my school friends left for the USA.
What a beautiful video and an absolutely beautiful car that is probably the best that is probably the best example I have seen of a 1974 Cadillac of any model.
I hope you still have it and you're enjoying it
She's the most beautiful caddy I have ever seen and I'm a confirmed car guy... LOVE the green dash and carpet... SO beautiful sir, thanks for sharing :-)
Only in the '70's! I love it! I wish manufacturers would start using color - in and out - on their cars. And I wish Cadillac would give us a retro inspired model using the '71-73 model as its muse.
Absolutely Gorgeous love 70s era caddy coupes and the color is striking!
U have an amazing car!
Congratulations! I remember that estate sale with this car sitting in the garage hooked to a charger and without those bumper inserts. Amazing how the color repelled most people roaming through the house. You had vision, and a good detailing didn’t hurt. The retailed for around $7,500 and the estate was practically begging for an offer. Many years of enjoyment, glad to see it again.
That's just freakin amazing! Man.... Love that.
This is one of the cleanest ‘74’s I’ve ever seen!! What a find! Persian Lime Firemist was featured in the 1974 Cadillac brochure on an Eldorado. Just gorgeous, and “so ‘70’s”. Enjoy!
incredible find
Wow!What a sweet Caddy ,lovin' that lime green - my favorite color. My late Aunt Marie had a same year Olds 98 ,same color with light tan interior beautiful car .
What a wonderful time capsule she is! Exquisite period color, and I love the green seatbelts!
Impeccable.
OMG, my grandfather owned this exact car... The carpet was even green with white leather seats. I sat in the back seat listening to Jonny Mathis playing on the 8 track cassette player... My petite French grandmother proudly sitting in the front seat.
Love the color and the name of the color.
I love it Such a rare Gem.
Amazing color! That was such a popular color in interiors etc in 74!
Simply gorgeous!
My aunt Margarett had the exact same car that car was beautiful!
my dad passes away in 08, but his good friends girlfriend, had one the same as this that she bought new in 74 in wilkes-barre Pa. i remember it well, really nice car
I really like this colour. It's just awesome.
Outstanding original!
I also noticed the "501" sticker under the hood (just above 472). No doubt where some people get their idea that Cadillac produced a 501 c.i.d. engine. Had a 1969 Sedan DeVille with a 472 and a 1976 Eldorado with the 500. Loved them both.
I will buy this car if it’s ever for sale.
...hello, fmb....
What a completely time-capsuled and rare '74 Coupe deVille!!! Not only a rare car; but an even rarer color in Persian Lime"..
...this lovely car's color palette simply reflected the colors then popular in fashion; and in interior design...I vividly remember so many kitchens and bathrooms decked out in appliances, linoleum flooring, and even metallic or flocked wallpaper with these hues; and then, of course, the accent pieces such as table lamps, luggage, alarm clocks, toasters, coffee pots and cookware bore this hue; along with shades of avocado, harvest gold and avocado ...
...I well remember some of these color lavished deVilles featured a rather garish plaid upholstery mimicking this color palette...so evocative of a style era long gone...
...I'm certain that you will cherish this wonderful car; and preserve it as the heirloom item it is...
Cheers, and very best regards,
G. Clark (Greg) Bloomfield
...that grown-up Cheyenne car kid...
Wonderful, just wonderful! Thank you for sharing ;)
Absolutely beautiful Cadillac! I remember when these first came out our neighbors had this same color on their Eldorado convertible. It is even more stunning on the Coupe DeVille!
Persian Lime beautiful
Very Nice! your right about the color. im looking for the odd ball colors that you dont see anymore, and this one is a Great car!!
I had the dealer brochures for the '74 Cadillacs and Persian Lime was a new color. The had a wild brocade/paisley cloth available as an interior option. I like this with the white top and white leather interior. I'll bet it gets a lot of looks. This one is unusual in that it has no tilt wheel and no cruise. Things we take as standard today.
Great car, the color grows on you very quickly, very clean inside and out, fillers look 😀. Carpet looks 👌 all in all great 🚗
One of my friends in high school had a 74 Coupe Deville, it was yellow with white leather. That was the best riding Cadillac I've ever been in.
I have owned 6 Cadillacs over the years, last one is a mint 95 grey Fleetwood Brougham.I did own a 76 Fleetwood, that was a big car too. Also had 2 diesels, v8-6-4, HT4100, 86 with Olds 307v8, the 95 with the LT1 is the best power plant I have owned. All rwd, no fwd models.
Always wonderful than the modern one.
Simply sensational......,.....
From the days when you could order your Cadillac in around 20 body colors. There was also custom color ordering available in those days.
I had a buddy of mine that had a 75 Blue with blue brocade inside and it was also from an estate sale in Roanoke Va. He passed a few years back and I always wondered who got that beautiful car!! I/we drove it many times to all sorts of fancy occasions. I now have a 2005 SRX. The ride of the 74 75 76s was SO much better than my 2005
Spectacular! What a glowing color. Sad to see it missing some typical Cadillac features. How lucky you are to have come to own this very special car.
I love it
beautiful car, I had a 75 coupe deville red with white top. big car and roomy.
Wow, I love this color. In fact, I loved this color and the mandarin orange color just as much. I like the white leather.... BUT, they looked so cool with the plaid cloth seats !!!! My parents had a '74 Coupe de Ville in the beautiful shade of Andes Copper with the terra cotta leather interior and white cabriolet roof. That was another beautiful color.
I wish car manufacturers would bring colors back. I'm so tired of black, grey, silver, and white.
Beautiful !
Замечательный аппарат! Машина для жизни... Цвет персицкий лайм! Ооочень нравится!(На заправке служащий говорит человеку за рулём"Заглушите мотор сэр, а то я никогда не залью Ваш бак!")
MY DAD HAD THE SAME CAR.I REMEMBER LEAVING CROSDALE CADILLAC IN VALLEYSTEAM/LYNBROOK NY IN THE SPRING OF 1974.PULLING OFF THE LOT WITH THAT BEAUTIFUL CAR.HE KEPT IT UNTIL THE(WHITE) 1978 COUPE DEVILLE.BUT THAT ONE WILL ALWAYS BE MY FAVORITE.
love the car and the colour
When I hit the lotto, I'm coming to your house with my checkbook in hand.
I think he’s going to marry the car. Lol just joking. She’s a beautiful example of a older Cadillac!
Had one exactly like this, just spoked rims, man I miss it!
I remember, my 1st car was a 73 Sedan Deville, I've owned probably 18 Cadillacs my current is an 88 Brogham... but that car is awesome and the fillers are still in tact....
had a boss that had a 74 Sedan DeVille in this color, I think his had green fabric but was more loaded with options than this one. He had a 20 year contract with the local Cadillac dealer , he had bought a new Cad, and for 20 years he turned it in and paid $1200 and got a new car every year, the 74 was his last deal, the 20 years was up. Some years later , I worked with a lady that told me her Dad during , had a similar contract with Lincoln, because he passed away in the mid 60's and she was able to take over the contract till it was up. They don't do that anymore.
Not a green fan at all but I really like this car! I would have lost a bet! I would have bet that tilt and cruise was standard equipment on those. Had to be a special order because with that color and lack of equipment it would have been a very hard car to sell! Why buy a Coupe De Ville and cheap out on the accessories? Also, for crying out loud, fix your air conditioning? The longer it sits inoperative the more the components are going to go bad! Very unique car that won't be seen often!
yes, had power windows and locks, and rear defroster but no tilt wheel.I would have thought it was standard also. I bet this was a price leader on the Lot and the dealers were really dealing with big cars, especially Cads and Lincolns in 1974. Gas was the issue
never have I ever seen anything as green as this. the dash, carpet, and seatbelts are knockouts. typically on cars with the cruise control integrated with the turn signal lever, the tilt wheel was a required option, so you either see them both, or neither.
That's the Snoop deVille
Definitely playing the rite tape, Love Unlimited Walking in the Rain with the one I love, orchestra conducted by the one and only Barry White
Очарование! Не отвести глаз!
Ive never seen a 74 in person. beautiful car!! I have a 73 sedan deville
I will only own a Cadillac from 76 on down NOTHING newer.
Check out my 1975 Couple de ville.
whew. that definitely reeks of the 70s!
Ameizing
Wow!
Snoop Dog has a car just like this exseped his was a lowrider with gold spoke rims.
Nice Car
Amazing. I had one. A different green with green Paisley interior. I loved this year front round headlights together. Last year for that. 73 front is ugly. 75 is square.
Ok my new dream car
I ordered a 1975 Cpe and checked all the boxes back then. Jennifer Blue with blue leather a blue padded half vinyl top. If you could afford a Cadillac you should have checked all the boxes. Mine was $11,000.
looks EXACTLY like the Chevrolet Caprice of the same year..
I have a set of brand new carpeted floor mats if you are interested. Let me know if you are interested. I really like this vehicle! Thank you for sharing it with us.
@2:30 between the color, and the double stack of lights, it kind of reminds me of the National Lampoons vacation car
although it also reminds me of the 1980’s teen movie “licensed to drive” with Corey Haim
Great Car brother...I bought mine in San Francisco from the original owner. I have a 500cu motor, and mine also boasts original paint. Does your white vinal top go all the way to the windshield or stop mid way? Great to see another rare classic.... I have 48,000 original miles on my car, and I drove her all the way across the USA the day after I bought her. Awesome!!!
I saw a Cadillac in this color a a car show in Brooklyn a few years back. I always wondered what the paint color was called.
My aunt had that same car
I don't know what the purpose of the trunk pull down was anyway.I heard they broke all the time because most people didn't know to shut it gently. I had an 87 Brougham,97 Concours and a 97 Town Car and they always worked because I wouldn't let anyone else close the trunk 😂 Anyway, beautiful car! While I've only owned the modern day counterparts I'd like to get a 71-76 someday...
I had a 96 DeVille what was just under the Concours model, really pretty, had the Chrome Concours optional wheels, loved that car but I wore it out . I also once drove a 96 Town Car and it didn't ride or perform like my Cadillac did
Great like
U-U-U-MMMMMM... well... it's in outstanding condition!! Truly awesome, well kept and original but... the color! OMG! Reminds me of the old Vegas of that decade. Why lime green???????????? WHITE! Or red or blue or... anything but LIME GREEN! Musta got a heck of a deal. Otherwise, phenomenal!!!!
green was a popular color in the early 70's
A '74 CDV w/o tilt, or cruise...Interesting!
but had power door locks and rear defogger , seems weird, I was thinking tilt was standard in those days
You're halfway to having Huggy Bear's wet dream of a car. 😂
Do you still have this car 1974 Cadillac coupe DeVille? Very pretty car sounds pretty good too I hope you're doing okay
This should probably be an age restricted video.
Must be over 60 to fully appreciate it. ;-)
Gy Bx I’m 20 I appreciate it
Too bad GM felt that 1974 Cadillac buyers would not be discerning enough to want real wood trim. 10 years earlier and you would have gotten real wood.
I saw the belt was off, but otherwise does the AC still work?
Notice, No cup holders anywhere!!!
But 4 Cigarette Lighters, 'Natch...
5argeTech \V/ I wouldn’t drink or eat anything in this car, especially with white leather !
Wow I just noticed this video was made 8 years ago lol anyhow lol anyhow the hollow hoodornament came with the A came with a cavalier option which would also include the half top booted the half top and that was available in 1974 1975 and 19 in the 4 19 75 and 1976 if you see a hollow hood ornament I'm is siya hollow hood ornament on a sedandville or a Fleetwood it is it is something that was replaced because the 1st one was stolen or because the 1st 1 was stolen or destroyed
Columbia House record club buy one 8-track get 13 free only pay for shipping and handling LOL..the good old days...🎵 📻
Not bad. But a Cadillac is almost not a Cadillac without cruise control, sentinels, tilting steering wheel, etc. But overall , it's a good looking Cadillac.
What's a cadillac without cruise, sentinels, dual power 6 way seats, dual illuminated visor vanity mirrors,& remote exterior mirrors??? I've had one of these before, a '76 that did not have tilt-telescoping steering wheel and just thought it was ordered that way.
Oh i forgot the dual or tri- note trumpet horn as well.....
Is this same one on Ebay for 10.5K?
Do you want to sell any of your caddy’s sir?
💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚
a1. 🏁🇺🇸great
He's a tuna boat.
Wanna sell it? Give you top $
Coupe de ville is a frenche name
LOL. The see thru ornament, bench seat no tilt cruise or power truck close are because the douche who ordered it was cheap and got no options.
Who cares about those options anyway?? Power Trunk Close could always be installed aftermarket anyway. Cruise control I could do without. Absolutely gorgeous car, PERIOD!
@@MrLarryDallas45
Yea the original owner was a cheap bastard......no cruise control in a caddy is absolutely ridiculous !
but they splurged on leather interior though, I would rather have fabric and have a tilt steering wheel
@@MrLarryDallas45 to me , tilt steering wheel is a big deal, likely it was on the lot and the dealers were really dealing on big cars in 74 and they got a deal on this one
@@califdad4 It is to me. Yet to not want to get a car like this, in this condition, simply because it doesn't hve tilt steering, is being petty.
