Extremely useful, well done video in 2022. Now I feel that I can repair the break. Thanks.

I am getting ready to do this so I found your vid quite helpful.
As far as narration, I would get rid of the robo-voiceover and just use your own voices. I ran it the second time on mute and found your written instructions to work just fine even without any voice-over at all. Good job.

Haha ... my voice is so-not-cool that I thought a robot speaks better than me. :-) I will definitely keep your suggestion in mind for any next video. Thank yo so much for watching the video and commenting. Have a great weekend ahead.

We've done this 2 times. It starts leaking in about 3 to 5 years from where the hose clamp it. Those are made for soft rubber hoses, not hard, and are never meant to be underground.

Many landscapers are using polypipes instead of PVC nowadays, for sprinkler systems. Polypipes have become popular for the flexibility and ease of use. Our polypipe system is two years old. It is working great so far. We dug the soil a few weeks ago to replace some sprinklers; the poly pipes and the joints are in great shape. The clamps are in great condition too (no rust yet). In our opinion, the clamps work well for hard poly pipes like anything above 80 psi quite well. I suspect the problem of leaking appears with soft rubber hoses, as you mentioned. We do not have much experience with soft rubber hoses because we were looking for a long term solution (which will not be visible from outside and hence underground). Soft rubber hoses are not supposed to be for long term use, I guess.
