I remember growing up in St. Paul during this time and being a Saint's fan. Heck, no one in my neighborhood was a North Stars fan. I was hoping when we got an NHL team in 1999 we might same them the Fighting Saints, the logo and jerseys were classic. Now, even the North Stars name and uniforms would be better than the Mild, what a joke.
Actually, both the gold and the white are home jerseys. The Saints wore the gold jerseys with the "S" crest for the first half season or so at home, then switched to the white jerseys with the familiar Saints logo for the second half of the season. The road jerseys were blue. All of the film shot for this was shot at home games.
The Saints wore the gold jerseys at home in the old St Paul Auditorium up until they moved in to the new Civic Center, then they wore the new white ones with the "Fighting Saint" on the front.

My uncle Gord Gallant played with the Saints good ol hockey days time sure goes by fast😫
I still remember my dad's shirt with Gallant's photo on it. "Machine Gun Gallant". His picture looked like a mugshot. I loved that shirt.
As a kid, I sat in section 117, row 1 or 2 for almost every home game. Love those days.
Love the plexiglas boards. Only other time I ever saw that was 1972 Winter Olympics in Sapporo, Japan.
Long live the memory of the Minnesota FIGHTING SAINTS!
The Saints held a “cab driver appreciation” night. Free tickets, food, booze, live music. Tv coverage. What a night!!
Love those old-school videos. And I like the glass boards never seen that before

Looks like all of the film was shot at 2 or 3 home games.

The farm club for this team was the Chiefs. From Slap Shot
Congrats tonight Mr Keon
Would be cool to see the wild do a reverse retro saints jersey.
Looks like the Saints had two style white jerseys. One with the "Skating Saint" and the other with the "S" logo.
Presented by : MidWest Federal. Straight from FARGO movie. Ole Bill Diehl.
Curt Brackenbury vs Nick Fotiu. Brawl at the Mall
I traveled to Minnesota every month in the 1990's, and wondered why they don't have a hockey team!!
great for the fans but not so much for the players from what I heard. The Civic Center was state of the art when it opened
Related to Gord Gallant from Shoresy?
Whats with the boards there, very cool.
9:35 - Glass eye.
That team last for 10 minutes in the WHA?
7:34 - Hahaha!

I've never seen those yellow home uniforms before! Wonder how many games they wore it.

@07beyotch It should be, but they spelled it wrong. Apparently the budget was so low for the Saints, they couldn't afford the e or the apostrophe!
The yellow jerseys had to be the away games. White jerseys were home games.
