This is my favorite skate video of all time. It defined my life growing up.
That's great, much love 😍
100%
Same here 2003. I started 2002. I mean as in taking skateboarding seriously
☑️ 🎉
RESPECT
This video shaped me as a person. I've watched it probably around 4-5K times. 45 minutes of incomparable magic.
Man I totally understand what you’re saying. I feel the same way when I listen to the credits.
To me this is the pinnacle of skateboarding videography. God knows how many times I watched this video.
For whatever reason Josh Kalis DC is still my #1 forever. Then this whole vid is > DC
I love you Emerica. So damn much.
Finally Andrew’s part with sound ❤️
Yeah the copyright. But emerica bought those rights in the beginning
I felt the same way! Finally Emerica themselves said “f**k it, let’s give it to the people” 🙌
This brought tears to my eyes! It just wasn't the same seeing Reynolds part without the Hendrix.
finally Reynolds part is up from this is skateboarding with Jimi Hendrix song!
every other one had the song blocked
Copyright. Emerica bought the rights.
@@johnmoyarbmg5845 Actually Reynolds Matt Jimi Hendrix sister and there was an agreement that if he went to Give kids shoes at the Jimi Hendrix high school he could use the song, i’m sure I don’t have all the details but I remember hearing that in an interview. The main reason I made a big deal about this was because this is one of my favorite parts with this song and in the past you could watch it before copyright really got strict so long story short I know.
@@Mogely it was on his episode on vice I remember
@@Mogely I was 13 when this was out bought it at our local skate shop. Me & my twin brother sadly he passed away last month but yeah this dvd brings back so much
@@Mogely there was a bonus dvd with a Andrew Reynolds 2nd part.
Still got a copy on VHS, watched this video ALOT with my older brothers when it came out years before i even stepped on a board. The section towards the end of the credits always gives me a feeling of being stuck in time. Skateboarding saves!!!
My friend Ruben (RIP) and I spent all 2003 and 04 watching this before hitting the skate spots, man goodtimes I miss being 13
This is my childhood.
Big facts ! The editing on the intro and credits is crazy plus all the legends killing it !
You got damn right
Same here. Teens
This is my pre-high school life daily
One of the many skate videos that got passed around in High school when this first came out
My favorite skate video of all time!
Thank you for this 🙏
Thank you for giving us this this nostalgia. ❤
This was a great time to grow up skating all were Reynolds kids lol
The ending credits give me crazy nostalgic tears. The music along with the footage is just perfect. It captures all the best feelings of skating. Cruisin around with the boys seeing the world, shredding and getting into trouble. Beautiful video. This emerica team along with the filmers and editors really made something special. Best skate video ever imo.
Even timestamped it and everything. Thanks Emerica!
This is the best skate video of all time. thank you for posting this in high quality
Reynolds will always be on Emerica in my mind
Love that Emerica is uploading all their videos.
love you emerica. you have such a big impact in my life till this day
I Miss This Era of Emerica
The greatest skate video of all time 🙏🏼
Ay I still have this on DVD all scratched up but brings back memories!!
Man this brings back a lot of great memories to 2005 for me, soundtrack of a great time of my life! Thx guys
Credits transports me back
One of the best skate videos to this day!
Easily
Herman so young 50-50 El Toro in a line, incredible - thanks so much for this
Watching all these old skate videos and the resurgence of skating in 2023 as a time to enjoy the experiences you are passionate about just shows how underrated and underappreciated all the hard time and roads paved were for skating to reach these heights and recognized as an Olympic sport as the pinnacle of human achievement.
Best team ever
its crazy that chris senn had only two flip trick in his whole part. Love it
That is so rad, thanks for upload this classic and history video!
Favorite video ever. Miner was on something else with this vid. Nothing he has done since has hit quite the same.
Pretty dope how u guys put the chapters
I love that y'all have put out basically the entire video catalogue. Really shows how true to form you've been all throughout the years. Nothing but respect Emerica
Emerica, the most solid shit out there 🔥
This video has shaped my skateboard and the grinding of my trucks.
"We got one hour"
"Take 2."
Best Skate-video, team of all the time.
44:32 lol dude was really concerned about being catched in a huge empty parking lot at dawn . This video brings me so many 2002-2003 memories...
It is so crazy to look back and see what used to suffice for a part back then. Herman nollie flipping that 7 would not make a part these days. Skating has evolved so much but this is still the best video ever made.
To be honest, tricks are more difficult nowadays. But nobody does videos like this. There is so much footage everywhere and nobody is going this hard. You can see the effort theyve put in those full vids back then. They made ART. Not SPORT. Thats what is missing nowadays. I am 32 and skating since like 12. I feel a big change in skateboarding.
@@komoonkh Oh I agree 100%, 33 here and skating since I was 14. All of the classics were made like a movie with cool skits, and awesome transitions, not just lets see who can do the best tricks over and over. All of the classics, Sorry, Dying to Live, Menik Mati, and so many more hold so much more substance than the new videos. But it also helps that they bring me back to the care free days of skating from sun up to sun down without a care in the world.
@@ramseyhurst7700 time stamp ?
@@zoningfam 7:47. Its a longer 7, but yeah.
That seemed to be the only filler trick in the part . Every other trick was insanity
Thanks for uploading
2003 baby!
Thanks for posting! 🙏🏼
It’s good to be back here boys!
Heath's slam was the gnarliest shit ever
yessir!
Ed Templeton´s lip slide :o
Erik Ellington's part gets me hyped to skate.
One if my favorite all time videos
GOAT Video. Still laugh at the mileage The Boss got out of that Ramones shirt lol
i miss the long skate vids
I really dig this classy timelapse
Heaths part is my favorite skate part of all time
Beautiful. Can’t stop binging emerica vids 20 years after I first watched them and nearly as long since I last skated
Having said all that, the intensity of my nature to be an unrelenting, merciless little sh**head to the businessman in the beginning is indescribable. My first subconscious reaction was “make fun of his front-butt and the fact that he has the body of a woman addicted to tv dinners and being alone until he breaks down into tears and waddles away in shame”
God I miss skating
That first line from Reynolds is one of his best. It reminds me of his skating in stay gold wich I think is his best part but this one is so classic.
that was dope
Damn good vid doods.
Herman, Szafranski, Ellington, Spanky, Reynolds Baker and Emerica is the best combo in skateboarding history, This is skateboarding and Baker 3 ar the best skate videos
I wish more then anything that they still used this format instead of releasing one man parts or big jumbled videos of a lot of skaters its so much nicer to meet the skaters in the old format. And yes I know they do make it still but it is exceedingly rare.
What a fuckin masterpiece.
Heath is still the best!!!!
You got damn right !
sometimes i wonder if emerica, the skaters participating in this video and/or jon miner, know the impact this video had on the lives of all skaters
thanks god
Yeeeeew memory lane
35:33 I miss Reynolds era with tight pants and leather jacket
I Rmb going to Paris and walking up that staircase and I just froze because I remembered the credits of this video.
The credits give me anxiety from childhood memories lol
nice
Just as an example. The rail that Ed Templeton lip slides In his part as his ender has been Switch tale slide by Yuto. Fucking insane example of skateboarding progression now Ed doesn't star in skate videos he directs them. Love it all
😍
The good old days.
GUYS PLEASE who remembers exact premiere date? was is march, 8th or august, 3rd???
Dopest shoes around man,wheres ed?
Oh fuck yes
S A U D A D E
