    the formula for dished ends Blank calculation for 2:1 Elliptical is wrong . We are in the dished ends forming industries for 50 years . Motilal Dished Ends Works Pvt Ltd. and as per our practical Experience and Knowledge we have arrived at the Below Formula
    OD + OD /42 + 2/3 KR +2SF .
    This is applicable to thickness upto 60 mm
    for above 60 mm
    OD +OD /42 +2/3 KR +2SF + 1thk

      Sir, you are partially right. I have given the formula, according the code. The blank dia, actually depends the different manufacturering process. Myself know, different dishend manufacturers, using there own, different formula, as you mentioned, you have developed, your own formula. Thank you for the comment.
