Ms. Sandra Bullock said it best in “Hope Floats” (1998), “Beginnings are usually scary, endings are usually sad, but its what's in the middle that counts. So when you find yourself at the beginning, just give hope a chance to float up, and it will.”
It's as if Taylor Swift wrote illicit affairs for this movie and this specific MV. I mean, the lyrics, the timing... everything is so perfect. Thank you for making this
Great edit! There is some wonderful fanfiction for The World to Come. Great scene interpretations and alternate storylines. Some have great intimate scenes-which should have been in the movie! Helped me recover from the tragedy of the awful ending.
This movie really pissed me off. The ending is just stupid. I couldn't believe that in 2020 they killed the lesbian main character. What a waste of an amazing potential. Advice, just stop watching 3/4 into it. You're welcome!
@@alxb2827 Personally I prefer my romance movies to be happy. If I want historical accuracy & suffering I will watch a documentary. Also it's a bit disappointing that the percentages of lesbian couples in film who do not end up together, mostly dead, is so high.
@@NotAnotherKuromiabsolutely agree. I hate that this love story was so so good and believable in their connection and love that it is even more devastating to see the route they took with it. It may be realistic for the time but just the same some women made it past those trials and tribulations and conquered that time. I’m sure there were women in those days that were able to live out their love and lives fully. We can’t see that? Such a waste to such a strong love story.
SPOILER ALERT *DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THIS MOVIE* this is probably a dumb question and I'm going to pay extra attention next time I watch this but: is it implied that her h*sband poisoned her? or was she actually sick like he said?
Her husband killed her with a poisonous herb. The both women even talked about this once under a tree halfway throught the movie, that the husband threatend her to poison her food/drink.@californikaitlin
This movie broke me in thousands of pieces.
I can’t begging to say how much I’ve cried over them
Yes I'm a 28yr old Lesbian man

Masterpiece. Its just brutally heart wrenching and traumatic. I love it
I just saw the movie, nobody told me that the ending was sad 😭

This is reality of what women went through. Why should every movie have a happy ending?
