Yeah for number 1 I was there for that and I was so confused on why it went backwards. It was a fun half hour of my parents having to re-re-explain drag racing.
4 wise is the wildest show in drag racing
In talking with my dad some years ago when zmax just opened up. He talked that in the 50's they would run 4 cars on the track. Kinda made sense since most of the tracks were part of old runways from the war.
Very cool and loud.
I wasn’t much of a fan of 4 wide until I attended last week’s 4 Wide Nationals. That was an insane experience that I will never forget.

You took the words right out of my mouth. Drag racing has ALWAYS been, mano on mano, team on team, machine on machine, AND the ones that make it all work, sponsor on sponsor!!! 4 wide, you don't even notice the sponsors. Too, the win light and statistics are way too confusing.
Gone, are the days of "The Snake, Don Prudhomme vs. the Cobra?!!! Say it isn't so!!!

Four wide is the absolute worst thing NHRA has ever did!! Just like Nascar on dirt, its just wrong !!
The cup series is awesome on dirt like 20% of events have been dirt
Nhra needs to stop letting tracks close down. Englishtown, Atlanta, Houston, Phoenix, and now Denver in the last 5 years! The sport is dying and 4-wide and 1000ft racing has accelerated the decline. The half empty grandstands speak for themselves.
