I'd love to hear your thoughts on the possible obstruction at home, and the discussion about legal pitching positions.

If you have a pitcher that would like to declare "Hybrid" I think it's somthing that's appropriatly addressed, and agreed upon at the pre-game plate /line-up visit. That way umps, and both managers are aware of something to be addressed that's not in the rule book.

To be clear, the pitcher would declare that they are using the Windup position. The declaration just makes it clear to the team on offense when the stance isn't obvious by itself. It might not be a bad idea for a manager to bring it up during the plate meeting if one of their pitchers has been penalized for this before. I intentionally keep my plate meetings short so they don't turn into a rules clinic.

@postgamebreakdown right, the pitcher would declare while on the mound, but the short plate appearance announcement during ground rules is good so everyone's on the same page at the start. the pitcher announcing on the mound is needed so base runners are aware that they can run on first motion (excluding a step off) if they so chose.

Though these games don't matter much, they really should give you an extra person because you can't always see everything.

I agree! Unfortunately, there is a shortage of game officials that is affecting nearly ever sport/level and Little League is no exception. Even high school JV games are a solo affair.
