The convoy lane is intriguing as he has attacked your AK's and knows they are heading east, and you know he will send surface ships and maybe even a light carrier to intercept south of Perth as some point. Hopefully for you it's a big group of cruisers you can ambush. The scary part is that we haven't seen a Japanese carrier for a while anywhere besides Kaga. I'd assume he still has a force at Ceylon and maybe the S. Pacific. If there is a carrier fight I think you have a chance to at least match him locally. Hopefully his scout planes haven't seen you or a heavy cruiser which would cause him to hold back his fleets.
