I've watched numerous videos on the md806/pro and I'd have to say that yours is by far the best....to the point, telling what matters and the pros and cons... Thank you. I bought one
Cheers mate , I’ve been using it for a while now , overall I’m pleased with it. Only thing it failed on was a dpf regen on a Vauxhall vivaro / Renault traffic but in the end I managed it by loading it as a Nissan xtrail since it uses exact same engine etc
Very Very helpful. I was going to buy one just to have a play with but can see clearly now that I should only buy one if I really need it & to ensure it covers not only my manufacturer but also the model & year. Thank you soo much.
First of all; great review! I really appreciate you putting this on RUclips. At the moment I'm still not sure whether I should buy an MD806 Pro or an MD808 Pro. I hear you say that the MD806 series is based on the MD802 and therefore actually dates from 2012. But what about the MD808 (Pro)? In the reviews, that interface looks exactly like the MD806. Or is the software really a bit different? Do you know if the MD808 (pro) is a better choice when working with slightly younger vehicles? There is still a significant price difference between the MD806 Pro and the MD808 Pro.
Good video, hopefully it has more coverage on Minis. I wonder if there is less coverage because Vauxall isn't released globally and for example there is some overlap with Holden Astras and Vauxalls depending on region? Or would it be part of GM instead?
You bring up a valid point - I’ve since used it on a few BMW’s and Had no issues - worked a treat yesterday on an 2018 Bmw 1 series- so u I’d guess mini coverage would be good also. It was also able to reset all the service CBS lights where my launch tool failed , so I’m super impressed as it was only £150 delivered new
@@jonphillips5119 That's amazing, I just bought the autel. I'm curious if you reset CBS on the BMW via the Oil reset in the "Service menu" or via "Scan"/"OBDII".
Good video, Jon, thanks mate. I'm going to go for the pro; any idea where I can get one. You're dead right in what you say, mate. Even my Champion "British" waistcoat is made in China, as well as my "Australian" Skellerup wellies. Everything is made in China. Good, honest review👍
Hi so u recommend this tool or is better to put some 100£ more and buy something better. I'm not mecanik just need this kind of scaner to keep it eye on my beema. Regards

The thing is if you work on a lot of makes you must have multiple scanners. Just a fact of life to get full coverage

Good review. Do you have to update these? Or can you use straight out the box?

@@Nanokillaz service menu mate - you go into “ oil reset “ and then it gives you further options for brake fluid , brake pads etc
Trying to find a good code reader with live data for a 2015 insignia bi turbo... glad i saw this before buying one

I think it’s a really good tool- doesn’t do abs bleed or injector coding but still very good tool
@@jonphillips5119 hi, so is some tool ther that is doing that think which mentioned but don't cost millions £€¥$
@@Romski1978 you could look at foxwell but coverage isn’t as good as autel imo
When you got it did you have to update it or it came preupdated on the memory card?
I bought two of these , one had about 6 month worth of updates outstanding and the other had 3 months so you’d need to update it regardless
the worst I have bought, it has half in Greek while it says that it has the Greek translation normally. Buy something else.
md 806pro the worst I have bought. It does not work properly in Greek translation and bad support. Away from autel will regret it like me
Sorry to hear to the tool didn’t work out for you - thanks for watching
