I’m glad there’s more content about sea witches because other sea witches can learn from them more or just love the perks of being one. POC Witches’ content hits different in a good way. They have a certain charm to their humor or their personality that I love that I don’t feel as alone and can learn from them
If you want to be a sea witch dont think u can only practice sea magick near the ocean, sea witchcraft is about connecting with the water element and the moon. I also recomend water related activities like swimming, doing bath spells etc
I wish there was another name for those who do witchcraft mainly relating to any big body of water like lakes and rivers.. Oh.. Lake witch I could be if I wanted to-
Eeeek! I love seeing more sea witch content bc I typically use water, weather, shells and the moon in my craft so I love seeing others talk about it! Also: It's weird bc I'm a sea witch but I have severe thalassophobia
Re appropriating gods from closed practices: don't forget that gods and other spirits are not toys, pets, imaginary friends or home decor. It's not the same as appropriating a ritual or an object, and that difference cuts both ways. If you buy a ritual object and use it in a disrespectful way, that object can't defend itself. Same thing goes for preying upon a sacred plant that can't stop itself from being overharvested. If you reach out to a deity in a culturally disrespectful way, they can make choices about how they handle that situation. You really want to hope that they just choose to ignore you, and you only waste your time and energy. There are less fun alternatives (from your perspective. The deity in question might have lots of fun!). On the other hand, a spiritual experience is not invalidated by the fact that a spirit you interacted with came from another culture. Some spirits from closed practices rarely or never interact with uninitiated practitioners, and some do. In Haitian Vodou, for example, I've been informed that most loa focus on actual vodou practitioners but the ghede loa are known to sometimes reach out to others (read Mambo Chita Tann's book Haitian Vodou for reference). If a spirit chooses to interact with you regularly, and that interaction becomes part of your practice, that isn't inherently appropriative. However, even in those cases, it's NOT okay to act entitled to just anything you fancy in another culture, just because an entity from a closed practice decided to say, "hey, what's up?" Again, the deity can defend themselves or walk away. The rituals, objects and plants that you are misappropriating aren't as lucky, and the power dynamic between you and another human being is very different from the dynamic between you and a god. If you're from a dominant culture you have to keep that privilege in mind. So, I don't think working with a god from a closed practice is inherently "toxic," but it's not unproblematic either. Bottom line: do your research, be mindful of the impact of your actions and be kind.
you can use white sage and palo santo...just not in ceremonies if you are not part of an indeginous religion or practice. You can use it to cleanse, it is NOT a closed tradition, but smudging and use it to act out ceremonies is cultural appropiation. (I am part of an Syncretic Indeginous/Afro-American religion, and we use these things in all our ceremonies.)
I don't know why but ever since I've started doing witchcraft I've been really connected to water and stuff so I definitely think I'm more of a water witch
I have a question about white sage. Many people say it would be cultural appropriation to use white sage as a non-indigenous person. The thing is I’m unsure because I saw some people saying that it was not because there were many countries, practices and peoples who used white sage and it didn’t only belong to indigenous ppl. So I’m confused now, Is it cultural appropriation and if yes, why?
From the majority of videos I’ve seen by indigenous people, the general consensus is that it is culturally appropriative to use white sage as a non indigenous person. White sage is culturally significant & sacred for indigenous people, and is also endangered from over harvesting for modern (non native) spiritual practices.
Depends on the scent! If it feels negative, then do some research and try to get it to leave! If its calming or benevolent, do more research to help you understand what message its trying to carry toward you or others you know :)
Remember to check the mundane first! It’s very likely that the smoke has gotten into your fabrics. If it’s heavier around pillows, couches, blankets, wall hangings etc it may just be a sign to do some laundry or steaming
✨I have a storytime✨ So I had to take a 3 month break from doing witchcraft right? The night I tried manifesting, the next few days I got So many signs that it had worked. My mf spirit guides and deities OVERWHELMED ME SO BAD TO POINT THAT I LITERALLY CRIED I find this a tad amusing.
If y’all have videos you’d like to see, please feel free to suggest them!

SUPER late but white sage is also endangered, so using it would be a bad idea
ok, I need answers, recently I've been smelling incense even though i haven't been burning any lately, like should i be worried or something?

The thing at 7 minutes is correct we live the life of real life animal crossing
12:13 howd she do that
It’s a form of energy manipulation! Sort of like when making smoke go straight up was a trend for a while

As someone starting a sea salt business and a witchy friend, her method is great!
