Its normal to ground your kid from going out with thier lover when this might be his last chance? Rules are rules, but rules arent human, they are letters, words, they have no empathy because they cant feel. Do whats right, not whats unhealthy. And to noones suprise, grounding is unhealthy, if i was grounded i would sleep way longer than i should and i wouldnt eat bc i have anxiety and need my devices to continue breathing, when you ground someone, the first thing you were thinking of is punishing them for what they did, either in anger or what punishments are common. Never once have i met a parent that thought of the child, and what i find ironic, the toxic parents ive met were never beaten, never grounded, they got away with everything and were treated as if they were the president.
