The Raiders fans I spoke to, I told them to enjoy being in Salary cap hell and keep taking a TE. They had a Pro-bowl, TE, then Drafted one in the first round 2 years in a row.

Boyz, I'm a lifelong Diego fan from Diego growing up going to games with my Dad; from Louuuuie & Fouts to John Jefferson, Chandler & Joiner to the Canon's going off, wait cuz there will still be more pickups to come. Regarding safeties, don't be surprised if Simmons or Eddy Jackson. Remember the motto 'Competition'. The dynasty is almost complete and ALL football fans around the world will be bowing to the Botlz soon, whether it's this year (I give it a 50/50 chance of winning the SB this yr) or next yr, we'll rattle off at least 3 SB's!

Love it, Ray. For the lifelong fans like you it will be even sweeter when the team becomes a perennial playoff participant again - it’s been way too long. Good call on the Safety position. Signing Jefferson doesn’t necessarily rule out going after someone else. Also, I wonder if we are one of the teams who’d consider signing C Connor Williams (formerly of Miami) while he recovers from his ACL injury. He’s entering his prime now and perhaps could be had for a reasonable price. Thanks for listening!

Last year, seven of the Chargers losses were by three points or less. Harbaugh will not let that happen.

It’s only fair to mention that he inherited this position from John Butler. John started this whole thing AJ took the rock and ran with it when John passed. RIP to them both 🙏🏾❤️

Question Against the Raiders did LT Slater HEALED FROM INJURIE to Stop Outside Rush.
Watch Both Raiders Games & Slater Struggling to close the Pocket?

      Hi 👋🏻 Good question!
It’s not precisely known when Rashawn suffered the ‘double high ankle sprain’ that plagued his season but it’s been rumoured that it was against the Vikes in Wk 3.
If true, the Wk 4 Raiders game was his first following the injury, and it showed in his performance (allowing 4 pressures).
It’s also not precisely known when he was properly healed, but in the Wk 15 Raiders match-up he’d had 10 weeks of recovery and his performance in that game (allowing only 2 pressures), even if he wasn’t yet 100%, clearly was better than he was in Wk 4.
Let’s hope he’s back to full strength right now. A fully healthy Rashawn Slater is a difference maker!

There is no such thing as an easy schedule. It's based on record's from the previous year.

The Ravens, the Bengals, Tampa Bay, the Chiefs, the Steelers, the Browns, even the Raiders with Bowers are not easy games.

True every team believes it has improved via free agency, draft or coaching. There are always a few surprise teams. The Texans were that team last year. There are just too many variables.

      @ThunderDownUnderPodcast  4 месяца назад +1

Yeah the word 'easy' isn't appropriate since it's too difficult to predict whether teams will remain good or bad, year on year. Still it's probably possible to highlight parts of the schedule that appear "easier" than other parts, whether it's due to rest, playing at home, or other factors. The Chargers schedule seems reasonably balanced. Could be better (eg, no Wk 5 bye) and could be worse.

When I think of AJ Smith I think of firing Marty schottenheimer because of his ego after we almost won it all. He really fell off at the end and the drafts were ugly. I geuss he did technically build those teams. I was in high-school in those 06 07 seasons though

He definitely rubbed some people up the wrong way (as Daniel Wade mentioned). I guess ultimately the track record (W-L) speaks for itself though!

Thanks for checking in! We always take a break this time of the year. It’s cold and wet down south, so we’re keeping warm and planning for a big 2024 season. We’ll be producing some more regularly soon enough, but for now hopefully our Guest Series should keep you satisfied! Thanks for listening and supporting us 🤟🤟

AJ Smith destroyed the team. Couldn’t accept Schottenheimer was the reason they played hard

Always interested to listen to different viewpoints, Greg.
With AJ Smith as GM the team had a lot of on-field success. Do you give him credit for any of it, or was it all Schotty?
What did you think AJ did well, if anything?
