Hi Maestro, i enjoyed learning tips from this video and subscribed. I too was learning the prelude recently for my channel, and i wished i had this video while i was learning the song.
Wow I've never seen this topic addressed in a guitar tutorial. There's always that one spot. Sometimes I need to find an alternate fingering if I have limited mobility.
You are right. By getting into habit of playing with no mistake, we are teaching our fingers to remember to do the right things always. If we practice sloppily, our fingers will remember that too.
Somehow I already used that method to practise, but still can not handle the panic while playing full piece, even alone (keep me silent about playing in front of people). And the shift is not that hard.... From the midde of the neck (small barre + other notes with pretty high tension to play it clear), need to jump to pretty Standart C shape chord + 1st G string with pinky and first very loud hit with percussion, so that 1st string will ring the most. 50% failing the pinky... Already for weeks of practise :( Interesting fact that in game of thrones compositio exist the same movement, but from 3rd Fret also with small barre. To C chord + 1st G string and after those weeks of practise I stopped failing there. Probably its because of really hard tension in the hand at first example, tryend to relax as possible while moving, but didn't help so far.

There are times when someone says exactly, precisely what you need to hear. Thank you, Allen!!!

Agreed!
Thank you for being such an impactful part of my guitar journey
This video was so helpful. Your very specific advice for dealing with a problem section in a piece is excellent. Thank you!
Glad it helped
Thank you for the video ❤
Another great topic.Thanks.
Thank you😊😊😊
This is fundamental to the mind, and can be life or death on a motorcycle or mountain bike. Look where you want to go, not at what you hope to avoid.

Great player and communicator. I love your playing and teachings. Totally false history and neurobiology to refer to a lizard brain, however. :)
Did you almost say we evolved over 6,000 years? Don’t pander to that BS
Pretty accurate
I have subscribed a few days ago and videos and shorts not a daily thing, it's a hourly thing. Are you trapped in the studio?
What do you mean?
