Just take the race between the unbeatable candidate, Hillary Clinton, VS, Trump. To add to this, Mike insinuating that blacks are a monolith is what is wrong in American society. Moreover, the fact that you use Kanyes career as a rapper and fashion designer seems like implicit bias. You also used Jay Z as an example to dismantle the idea that a RAPPER or DESIGNER, can be president. It interesting that you used the ebonic accent, and two BLACK males, in predominantly BLACK "careers (rappers)," as an argument as to why they cannot be president. Mike, you're VERY intelligent, but on this, you missed the mark - perhaps, your close mindedness on this topic, comes from your white privilege. You have a picture perfect mold of what it takes to be president, and that is implicit bias. I find a lot of my caucasian friends are blithely unaware of how their implicit biases formulate their outlook on the world, and subsequently, on other individuals. You're quite aware of your strengths, but boy, how ignorant and unaware you are of your weakness. I bought your book, simply to support you, but you do not speak for people of color and never should.
