Lily is a Vocal Diva, Haewon is the perfect mainstream vocalist, Sullyoon is one of the strongest vocal-visuals, Jinni is such a great all-rounder who can snatch any wig, Bae is a smart vocalist with an addictive lower register, Jiwoo is an awesome idol rapper that can command any stage, and Kyugin is a true ACE and being so young with more to offer... like wow. I love NMIXX so much. I can't give enough credit to their talents and live performances. You can tell they love to sing.
tbh now looking at it all of nmixx is amazing vocally and dance and stage presence wise they all look and feel like they belong on stage and they dance like rent is always do ! nmixx is actually so good at everything i think they might be a one in a million group in fourth gen if not all kpop
I genuinely believe that Nmixx are the most talented 4th gen group. And I also think Sullyoon is genuinely top 5 most talented 4th gen female visual. I’m glad her vocal skills and talent are getting recognition. A lot of people underestimate her because she is a visual. Many people don’t expect much from visuals.

Both are great vocalists in their own right, on par - or even better in Winter’s case - with Sullyoon. I’m not taking anything away from Sullyoon btw, I do believe she has the most potential to be a great vocalist
the collab of ailee, yuju and lily singing this is me from the greatest showman is INSANE. lily being the newest could hold up against two well seasoned singers that are acknowledged as top singers in korea. lily knows how to SING, and her belts are just so easy and clean. technique is really great and i can't imagine how great she'll be in a few years time. to me, the things she needs to work on are her lower register and agility, cause sometimes it's a hit or miss, but her transitions, head voice, belts all those are already solid
I like how nmixx often sings live everywhere i mean it proves that they have good vocals and jyp lets nmixx sing live everytime. And i think SM artists especially AESPA often sing live at events that "HAVE TO PAY" like SM concerts, Aespa sync showcase, coachella etc. I don't know if this is a marketing strategy maybe...
@@namjoonbestleader6936 in the few times they've been live, they've been quite stable. Their biggest problem is Giselle tends to fall off beat with rapping which wouldn't be a big deal if they dropped the backtrack for it.
Haewon's color is just so rich and sultry and beautiful, I could listen to her all day. I can see her becoming one of my favorite kpop vocalists of all time at this rate.
I became fully interested with this group upon hearing Sullyoon in their new song Dice. Then, I listened to the other song Cool, and that definitely did not disappoint. Everyone sounded so good. This group deserves more love and appreciation. While other groups are becoming famous solely on visuals, this group is so talented that they deserve the attention from Kpop fans

I agree with everything. I honestly feel like a R&B and pop sound similar Red Velvet would suit better than the mixed pop JYP is trying push on them. Not only can they showcase their vocals to best capability but their dancing as well and raps too. I see them fitting the 90s/2000s type of music but with a modern twist. Like Boyz 2 Men for an example they had amazing vocals, along with amazing rap and really good dancing. JYP just needs to figure out how to clean the mixed pop sound or go in entirely different direction with the sound. There’s always a new girl group and eventually their immense talent and potential unfortunately won’t be enough to keep everyone’s attention. But no hate to the girls it’s JYP’s fault and wish them the best

I don’t hate the mixtopia theme it’s really fun. But Let’s be honest guys this concept wouldn’t have been as “bearable” if it wasn’t been done by nmixx. They’re really talented they ace in every component. Not to mention, the energy and passion they put in each of their performances is amazing. Not a lot of kpop groups offer that “real” feel to live performances if im being honest. That’s why mixtopia didn’t die completely lol. Is it a good thing? Ehh partially. There are more downsides that come with this concept; the bad first impressions on their debut, the plagiarism claims, allegedly making it a publicity stunt for marketing tactics, the transitions that are jarring to some and most importantly the wasted potentials that came with it. That’s really sad.
Haewon has the prettiest vocal color and tone. I can’t get enough of it. kyujin’s is nice as well. Her vocals should be showcased WAY more than they are.
Haewons head voice is fairly good tbh she has some very nice moments up to F5, she just needs to be a little more consistent since she often opts for an airy falsetto instead but i believe it’s just her style since she has shown her GOOD head voice quite often
They are talented. Really talented and I think that's why jyp have the confidence to give them this experimental concept. If you will give this to other groups bruh they will probably sink. NMIXX from debut secured loyal fans with their talent alone and there will be more once people can accept this concept of theirs with open mind. But I agree with people saying that their songs need a little tweak to be arranged better.
What people don't understand is that, the weakest Vocalist can still be a main vocalist, the weakest Rapper can still be a main Rapper material, the weakest Dancer can still be a main Dancer. The reason why is because JYP made a group of 7 aces. That's why they were called 7 ACE before becoming NMIXX. They are better at singing, dancing, rapping, and, in general, performing, than all other 4th Gen groups. It's not an opinion. It's the whole point of them existing. To be better at everything.
I somewhat agree. They have really good vocalists except for maybe Bae (still good but she wouldn't be a main vocalist in other groups). Their dance line is strong (Kyujin, Jinni, Jiwoo and Haewon) . But like the rapping is terrible, Jiwoo is really hit or miss, Kyujin has the stage presence I guess and Jinni is just...terrible even though she's my girlie. Lily is basically better than all of them.
I like Nmixx vocal tone so much. They are so different from other group that usually have soft high pitch tone. All of their member show variety tone and that's why i like about them.
I'm a regular viewer of Ep.29 Leemujin Service. I watch it at least once a day. So my ult bias is Lily. I even shed tears listening to her voice on JTBC's K909. I'm very glad to know her and NMIXX, my best girlgrup. Slaymixx!
Dear Antis, Haewon's and sometimes Kyujin's cute voice crack has proven that they are always live. If you are still unconvinced then look for the MR removed versions and be amazed by how they do it while dancing.
At first I thought w debut Sullyoon wasn't singing live, and then I heard their behind the scenes stuff and it was like "oh so she just sounds like that, noted"
I feel like they would suit Red Velvet concepts, RnB and some experimental weird songs. I would showcase their vocals better but stay on brand as the unique mix pop.
Unpopular opinion, but I love their songs. I don't think their skills are restricted with their songs, the songs are pretty hard to sing, but just not enough.
I think the songs feel very busy. If you listen to just the vocals of their songs you can hear their skills but all of the background and changes are distracting I think. I don’t hate their music, but I do think it’s very busy
Jiwoo is so good at vocals be sides having to do the hardest dance moves ( very detailed ,clean and with high power ) still can support and have a beautiful lead / main vocal in I've , black pink and itzy level balanced belts and nice voice all while debuting at 16-17 years old ( don't hate her for her weight you will regret it )
I don't know if jyp change their vocal trainer or what. But from what I see on their recent groups, they're doing it right. I mean look at Xdinary Heroes, skz seungmin and I.N improvement, and nmixx.
I don’t know for the others, but Seungmin and I.N take extra lessons outside of the company and have been for approximately 2 years :,) Seungmin generally takes more than one by week tho, while it’s more occasionally for I.N
for nmixx i remember seeing someone said they trained to sing while working out to build stamina and stability, explains why they're so amazing during live performance too
NMIXX feels like JYP's revival of SM's Girls' Generation, but with a 4th gen twist of all of them being "aces" in that they are dancers as well as being vocalists. Haewon and Lily are giving me serious Taengsic vibes, especially as they start harmonizing more. Even though Haewon is a great vocalist all around, she's being marketed as the pure/angelic voice like Jessica, while Lily obviously has powerhouse diva vocals just like Taeyeon. Wanted to edit to add that I think their mix genre is gonna hold them back a bit. It's controversial on purpose, but it's not really going to make the best out of such a talented group. That being said though, I'm sooo excited to see where this group goes.
i loved this video! i had noticed nmixx's vocal prowess but i like seeing your more technical info about them. lily's for sure my bias, there's a video of them performing O.O on the 2nd or 3rd week of TV promotions that you can see her chewing all the backing vocals and vocalizations, even though it's pretty standard for groups to let the backtrack do that. it's fantastic! however, i gotta say this - and this is not shade or criticism , it's just a thought - but it seems that people are still sleeping on nmixx's music, the title tracks even. they're gritty and bold, not shying away from being outrageous and shocking. it is clear that jyp is building a music statement with them that seems some steps ahead of the present. as a brazilian kpop fan, that baile funk beat from O.O is pure joy and its a perfect example of what i call "music that goes straight to your ass". plus, their b-side tracks have presented a queer versatility - with "cool (your rainbow)" being my favorite with its sheer romanticism. it's music for THE BODY and i'm more and more excited about them.
I think there's something captivating about their music; it's music for music's sake. In a time when kpop may come off as somewhat calculated and safe, there comes NMIXX bursting with colors and an eclectic palette of different sounds. While the execution may be confusing in places, those girls and their energy carry those songs!
I honestly love all 4 songs that they have so far. I understand the issues some people might have with it. But I just think it needs just a little more cohesion. I do think Dice is definitely more cohesive and less jarring than OO.
This is why they're by far my favorite KPOP group. They're just so overall great, it's crazy. Unpopular opinion; they're even a better group without Jini.

One thing I always noticed that JYP artist n idols are really good at dancing and singing. Even if they don't have the best vocalist in industry (for now atleast who r active except Lily) like SM vocalist,but still is so good n r still pretty stable live. Their 4th gen groups itzy and nmixx are really well trained to dance heavily but with good stable vocals which is really hard. JYP is really good at concepts for their particular group like they had wonder girls with retro style, miss A with sexy concept, twice with cute/bubbly or TWICE concept, itzy with teen or girl crush, nmixx has some mixing songs like idk. I m really glad that JYP manages their GGs well but I hope they manages BGs to stray kids seems to have good management till now since they have freedom to make songs.
This is my percepction if Nmixx had official positions: Lily: Main Vocal. Haewon: Leader, Main Vocal, Lead Dancer. Bae: Sub Vocal. Kyujin: Lead Vocal, Lead Rapper, Lead Dancer, Visual, Maknae. Jiwoo: Main Dancer, Main Rapper, Sub Vocal. Sullyoon: Lead Vocal, Visual, Center. Jinni: Main Dancer, Lead Rapper, Sub vocal, Visual.

JYP seems to improve their ggs every generation based on the critiques and hate comments of the previous generation. Miss A and Wonder Girls got comments for their vocals (outside of a few outstanding members, and in my experience with the comments that I saw), so we get Twice who have overall great stage presence and a decent vocal line with 3mix. Twice gets comments for their live vocals and "easy" choreography, so we get Itzy who sings live 75% of the time and has challenging choreography. Itzy gets comments for their singing technique, so now we have Nmixx. I predict the next generation of JYP girl group will make more public friendly music since that's Nmixx's current criticism. I am still unsure if JYP got better vocal trainers or they picked trainees with the best technique to put together this time. I hope we see it's the former! JYP has idols with some of my favorite vocals, regardless of technique, and this is elevated with Nmixx. Lily, Haewon, Sullyoon (and Kyujin, depending on who you ask) are at the top of my list as my favorite vocalists of 4th gen right now! I really liked Dice and Cool(Your Rainbow). I can't wait to see how this group develops in the future. Edit to add: This isn't a comment on their singing abilities. It's about the comments and criticism that past groups have faced despite their singing abilities. It didn't just happen to Twice and Itzy, but also WG and MissA too despite their vocal lines objectively being pretty good. You could frequently find comments about JYP girl groups pointing out that only X member can sing, and the rest can't sing live or can't sing very well, etc. for JYP groups. I feel that jyp has known how to reinvent their reputation of having "bad singers" by debuting groups like Niziu (They have a good vocal line, although many were pushed to debut too fast and were not given a chance to train their voices better and maybe this will affect them in the future) Xtraordinary Heroes (Their vocal line is really impressive I am speechless listening to them in their live performances) and the icing on the cake, NMIXX (We know how well their lead vocalists do, but I feel that Kyujin, Jiwoo and Bae have great potential that hopefully we will see more of in the future). also like very much how with their young groups, they have built this reputation of "always live" which in general, is a factor that adds a lot to the performances.
JYPE literally has the best dance and vocal groups at the same time. They really should form a super girl group like GOT having Twice, ITZY and NMIXX members there.

Before DICE era my second favorite group was KARD, but something in the vibe was just perfect. The vocals, the raps, the dance... I was speechless, and now NMIXX took a place in my heart as second favorite kpop group. Who knows, maybe one day they're going to get to me more and make their way of becoming my ults :)
Considering that ITZY is a dance performance based group, it would have made more sense to give them more experimental music and give NMIXX songs that would show off their vocals better. They literally could have had the female 2PM/2AM version. It doesnt even make sense that theyre doing mixpop when their predebut videos were focused on hip hop and pop. You can literally see the change in confidence (Jinni) and aura in some members went down after O.O I dont hate mixpop. I hate JYP's attempts at mixpop.The transitions are awful and their titles should have just been bsides at most. The girls deserve better and I genuinely want there to be a petition to JYP to have a concept/music change. I did acknowledge their sales increased this promo. Although we also have to acknowledge that they also have Big4 priviledge to help keep them in the public eye, which is why those who "make "good music" cant even dream of that". I like how nmixx often sings live everywhere i mean it proves that they have good vocals and jyp lets nmixx sing live everytime.
And i think SM artists especially AESPA often sing live at events that "HAVE TO PAY" like SM concerts, Aespa sync showcase, coachella etc. I don't know if this is a marketing strategy maybe...

I became fully interested with this group upon hearing Sullyoon in their new song Dice. Then, I listened to the other song Cool, and that definitely did not disappoint. Everyone sounded so good. This group deserves more love and appreciation. While other groups are becoming famous solely on visuals, this group is so talented that they deserve the attention from Kpop fans

I agree with everything. I honestly feel like a R&B and pop sound similar Red Velvet would suit better than the mixed pop JYP is trying push on them. Not only can they showcase their vocals to best capability but their dancing as well and raps too. I see them fitting the 90s/2000s type of music but with a modern twist. Like Boyz 2 Men for an example they had amazing vocals, along with amazing rap and really good dancing. JYP just needs to figure out how to clean the mixed pop sound or go in entirely different direction with the sound. There’s always a new girl group and eventually their immense talent and potential unfortunately won’t be enough to keep everyone’s attention. But no hate to the girls it’s JYP’s fault and wish them the best

I don’t hate the mixtopia theme it’s really fun. But Let’s be honest guys this concept wouldn’t have been as “bearable” if it wasn’t been done by nmixx. They’re really talented they ace in every component. Not to mention, the energy and passion they put in each of their performances is amazing. Not a lot of kpop groups offer that “real” feel to live performances if im being honest. That’s why mixtopia didn’t die completely lol. Is it a good thing? Ehh partially. There are more downsides that come with this concept; the bad first impressions on their debut, the plagiarism claims, allegedly making it a publicity stunt for marketing tactics, the transitions that are jarring to some and most importantly the wasted potentials that came with it. That’s really sad.
Haewon has the prettiest vocal color and tone. I can’t get enough of it. kyujin’s is nice as well. Her vocals should be showcased WAY more than they are.
Haewons head voice is fairly good tbh she has some very nice moments up to F5, she just needs to be a little more consistent since she often opts for an airy falsetto instead but i believe it’s just her style since she has shown her GOOD head voice quite often
They are talented. Really talented and I think that's why jyp have the confidence to give them this experimental concept. If you will give this to other groups bruh they will probably sink. NMIXX from debut secured loyal fans with their talent alone and there will be more once people can accept this concept of theirs with open mind. But I agree with people saying that their songs need a little tweak to be arranged better.

What people don't understand is that, the weakest Vocalist can still be a main vocalist, the weakest Rapper can still be a main Rapper material, the weakest Dancer can still be a main Dancer. The reason why is because JYP made a group of 7 aces. That's why they were called 7 ACE before becoming NMIXX. They are better at singing, dancing, rapping, and, in general, performing, than all other 4th Gen groups. It's not an opinion. It's the whole point of them existing. To be better at everything.

I somewhat agree. They have really good vocalists except for maybe Bae (still good but she wouldn't be a main vocalist in other groups). Their dance line is strong (Kyujin, Jinni, Jiwoo and Haewon) . But like the rapping is terrible, Jiwoo is really hit or miss, Kyujin has the stage presence I guess and Jinni is just...terrible even though she's my girlie. Lily is basically better than all of them.

I think the songs feel very busy. If you listen to just the vocals of their songs you can hear their skills but all of the background and changes are distracting I think. I don’t hate their music, but I do think it’s very busy

The most talented group for me in Kpop. I became their fandom immediately after seeing their incredible performances.
Jiwoo is so good at vocals be sides having to do the hardest dance moves ( very detailed ,clean and with high power ) still can support and have a beautiful lead / main vocal in I've , black pink and itzy level balanced belts and nice voice all while debuting at 16-17 years old ( don't hate her for her weight you will regret it )

I don’t know for the others, but Seungmin and I.N take extra lessons outside of the company and have been for approximately 2 years :,)
Seungmin generally takes more than one by week tho, while it’s more occasionally for I.N
for nmixx i remember seeing someone said they trained to sing while working out to build stamina and stability, explains why they're so amazing during live performance too

NMIXX feels like JYP's revival of SM's Girls' Generation, but with a 4th gen twist of all of them being "aces" in that they are dancers as well as being vocalists. Haewon and Lily are giving me serious Taengsic vibes, especially as they start harmonizing more. Even though Haewon is a great vocalist all around, she's being marketed as the pure/angelic voice like Jessica, while Lily obviously has powerhouse diva vocals just like Taeyeon.
Wanted to edit to add that I think their mix genre is gonna hold them back a bit. It's controversial on purpose, but it's not really going to make the best out of such a talented group. That being said though, I'm sooo excited to see where this group goes.

i loved this video! i had noticed nmixx's vocal prowess but i like seeing your more technical info about them. lily's for sure my bias, there's a video of them performing O.O on the 2nd or 3rd week of TV promotions that you can see her chewing all the backing vocals and vocalizations, even though it's pretty standard for groups to let the backtrack do that. it's fantastic!
however, i gotta say this - and this is not shade or criticism , it's just a thought - but it seems that people are still sleeping on nmixx's music, the title tracks even.
they're gritty and bold, not shying away from being outrageous and shocking. it is clear that jyp is building a music statement with them that seems some steps ahead of the present. as a brazilian kpop fan, that baile funk beat from O.O is pure joy and its a perfect example of what i call "music that goes straight to your ass".
plus, their b-side tracks have presented a queer versatility - with "cool (your rainbow)" being my favorite with its sheer romanticism. it's music for THE BODY and i'm more and more excited about them.
I think there's something captivating about their music; it's music for music's sake.
In a time when kpop may come off as somewhat calculated and safe, there comes NMIXX bursting with colors and an eclectic palette of different sounds.
While the execution may be confusing in places, those girls and their energy carry those songs!
I honestly love all 4 songs that they have so far. I understand the issues some people might have with it. But I just think it needs just a little more cohesion. I do think Dice is definitely more cohesive and less jarring than OO.

One thing I always noticed that JYP artist n idols are really good at dancing and singing. Even if they don't have the best vocalist in industry (for now atleast who r active except Lily) like SM vocalist,but still is so good n r still pretty stable live. Their 4th gen groups itzy and nmixx are really well trained to dance heavily but with good stable vocals which is really hard. JYP is really good at concepts for their particular group like they had wonder girls with retro style, miss A with sexy concept, twice with cute/bubbly or TWICE concept, itzy with teen or girl crush, nmixx has some mixing songs like idk. I m really glad that JYP manages their GGs well but I hope they manages BGs to stray kids seems to have good management till now since they have freedom to make songs.
This is my percepction if Nmixx had official positions:
Lily: Main Vocal.
Haewon: Leader, Main Vocal, Lead Dancer.
Bae: Sub Vocal.
Kyujin: Lead Vocal, Lead Rapper, Lead Dancer, Visual, Maknae.
Jiwoo: Main Dancer, Main Rapper, Sub Vocal.
Sullyoon: Lead Vocal, Visual, Center.
Jinni: Main Dancer, Lead Rapper, Sub vocal, Visual.
They always put Kyujin on the break dance parts and the center of the choreography, I ended guessing Kyujin would be their main dancer

So happy to look at this video. It's nice to see someone who really understands what he's talking about and explains it really well ^^ I'm a singer and musician so it's really good to meet this kind of analysis
JYP seems to improve their ggs every generation based on the critiques and hate comments of the previous generation. Miss A and Wonder Girls got comments for their vocals (outside of a few outstanding members, and in my experience with the comments that I saw), so we get Twice who have overall great stage presence and a decent vocal line with 3mix. Twice gets comments for their live vocals and "easy" choreography, so we get Itzy who sings live 75% of the time and has challenging choreography. Itzy gets comments for their singing technique, so now we have Nmixx. I predict the next generation of JYP girl group will make more public friendly music since that's Nmixx's current criticism.
I am still unsure if JYP got better vocal trainers or they picked trainees with the best technique to put together this time. I hope we see it's the former! JYP has idols with some of my favorite vocals, regardless of technique, and this is elevated with Nmixx. Lily, Haewon, Sullyoon (and Kyujin, depending on who you ask) are at the top of my list as my favorite vocalists of 4th gen right now! I really liked Dice and Cool(Your Rainbow). I can't wait to see how this group develops in the future.
Edit to add: This isn't a comment on their singing abilities. It's about the comments and criticism that past groups have faced despite their singing abilities. It didn't just happen to Twice and Itzy, but also WG and MissA too despite their vocal lines objectively being pretty good.
You could frequently find comments about JYP girl groups pointing out that only X member can sing, and the rest can't sing live or can't sing very well, etc. for JYP groups. It's quite unfair tbh. 😕

I feel that jyp has known how to reinvent their reputation of having "bad singers" by debuting groups like Niziu (They have a good vocal line, although many were pushed to debut too fast and were not given a chance to train their voices better and maybe this will affect them in the future) Xtraordinary Heroes (Their vocal line is really impressive I am speechless listening to them in their live performances) and the icing on the cake, NMIXX (We know how well their lead vocalists do, but I feel that Kyujin, Jiwoo and Bae have great potential that hopefully we will see more of in the future).
also like very much how with their young groups, they have built this reputation of "always live" which in general, is a factor that adds a lot to the performances.

Before DICE era my second favorite group was KARD, but something in the vibe was just perfect. The vocals, the raps, the dance... I was speechless, and now NMIXX took a place in my heart as second favorite kpop group. Who knows, maybe one day they're going to get to me more and make their way of becoming my ults :)
Considering that ITZY is a dance performance based group, it would have made more sense to give them more experimental music and give NMIXX songs that would show off their vocals better. They literally could have had the female 2PM/2AM version.
It doesnt even make sense that theyre doing mixpop when their predebut videos were focused on hip hop and pop. You can literally see the change in confidence (Jinni) and aura in some members went down after O.O

Before anyone says Im not a fan if I cant support their concept, remember that we are talking about the careers of young girls that sacrificed their childhoods to train and debut. Majority of NMIXX's viral clips is because of the girls charms and their live covers of other songs. And thats why people support them. Most comments also preferred COOL as a title over DICE. I did acknowledge their sales increased this promo. Although we also have to acknowledge that they also have Big4 priviledge to help keep them in the public eye, which is why those who "make "good music" cant even dream of that".
My arguement wasnt saying that theyre flops. It was that their talents deserve better songs that can be taken seriously by the gp.
itzy doesn’t have the vocals to back up experimental music that’s why, they need something to fall back on which is their vocal talent. itzy doesn’t need to be great vocalists to sell

I agree they have some amazing vocals, I just wish I could get into their music but for now I can't, it's just not for me. Loved Lily's recent cover of Gfriend's time for the moonlight tho.
i really do think they are one of the most talented 4th gen groups. i love everything about them but their music. i will say i enjoy their music only when i’m watching them perform it live. i can’t just listen to their songs. but when i see their insane stage presence and live vocals, i could probably listen to anything if they are performing it lol
