@historian500 As long as I know what direction to look when Im in the mood for a certain movie, then it works for me. The reason I don't wanna organize to picky is because when I buy new movies, now I gotta movie a lot of stuff around.
@monica369 Glad to hear, On a side note I cant eat pop corn unless its salted to the point of giving me a heart attack......Just puting that out there. Thanks.
@CinetalkReviews Yeah I know its a good movie and I have a pal who loves the movie more than life its self. I have already seen the movie, years ago. I remember it being a neat film, just not somthing I have the urge to watch as of now. I could of just said I didnt like it and I could of got somting off amazon for free...damnit! Alright thanks for the comment pal.
Nice video showing your collection. I currently own 3000 plus dvds/vhs.Been collecting day 1 when they were putting dvds on the shelves and replacing the laserdiscs.i won many obscure horror /serial killer/monster films. Film noir, old tv shows,b movies from 50s-60s...it is my drug-collecting dvds...
@CinetalkReviews I really got rid of movies I didn't plan to watch, yes I agree with your Christmas tree analogy. Yeah speaking of that I cant wait for Christmas.
Another suggestion homeboy, is what I did. Sort them by company. Meaning Warner Brothers, Universal, Columbia. It says it on the bottom of the spine so its easy to see them. Love the collection too man.
@joseph10704 I will get star wars on blu for sure, how can I not. Also the collection is still only 90 percent rights, but Im to the point where Im too tired to care and just want to watch my damn movies haha.
The hanging into the ironman helmet = Mint stuff man lmao gotta love that self deprecating humor. That's the way to go. Oh and John if you're looking to rid your collection of Rango you're more than welcome to pass it over here by the way have you ever seen Ronin?
I have changed organization so many times i basically do it all alphabetical for ease of grabbing what you need. and only "section" is animated and boxsets split up from all others.
Point Break is my Favorite Movie Of All Time EVER, Nothing Beats it Cause you got Action, Surfing , Shooting , Sky Diving , Bank Robbing. If Some On Does Not Like Point Break Their Crazy.
I have to do this soon, as well, as I just got new shelves for my collection! I'm glad to see you organize by genre, too. Alphabetical works fine for a lot of people, but if you do that, you've got stuff like 'Dawn of the Dead' seperated from 'Night of...', for instance, which is kinda weird. (to me, at least) Great collection, man. =-D
@vermylenp I kinda consider Silecne of the lambs horror, its actually is pretty damn scary when you think about it so now my system is a mess...oh well.
Pretty Sweet Collection, I'm surprised that in your comic-book adaption shelf, you don't have any of the original Christopher Reeve "Superman" films, First 2 were great, other 2 were just fun. I still want to see "Scott Pilgrim vs. The World".
Nice collection, wish I had the space to have nice storage like this haha. At the moment I just have a to z, but hwne I get another 30-40 I will start doing genre or something.
@maxonfire67 Ive only seen parts of the shinning, so Im going to have a movie night and watch it soon. DRC is amazing!!! Its a great buddy road trip movie. Now I kinda feel like watching it.
I have a strange organization system. I mostly group by genre like you, but sometimes I'll group by director/creator, sometimes by actor, and sometimes by subject matter. I have a tiny little section for serial killer movies, for example, and that's where I'd stick American Psycho.
Cool vid indeed! I want to have a lot Blu-ray like you HAHA. I also want to buy more Blu-ray Disc but it's expensive in my country. Anyway GREAT VID!!!
lol i'm glad you also categorize your collection by genre but to be honest in some cases i was yelling at my computer and saying WTF is that movie doing in that section lol. This inspires me to make the same vid now and make you suffer and yell
@voDkaholikkk NBK is or was fun to watch its was brutal, but not a movie I want to go back to and watch over and over while Im eating my frozen dinners.
You're right about American Psycho. It is for sure a comedy/satire. The book is as well. Also check out A shock to the system, the book and movie. very much in the same vein of satire,. the movie has micheal caine in it.
@BLADEMCML Yeah Ive seen all of those, but Rumble is the only one I like to watch over and over. Remember Dannie "My cushion" when they take it from him and rip it open ahahahahahhah.
I really have huge lots movie dvd collection and I have couple blue ray dvd collection on all different stores at blue hill Maine and Bangor Maine and Tucson Arizona
LOL I have Gran Torino in my comedy section. What do you think of the Shining? It's my favorite horror movie. Finally someone has Detroit Rock City, that's one of the most underrated comedies.
Nice all around collection. I've got a fairly large collection myself. I keep mines in my (4) dvd and (1) Blu-ray changers. It really is an addiction. This video may inspire a future video of my setup. Peace...Netm8kr
My OCD is killing me that they aren't in alphabetical order!!!!!!! AHHHHHHH!!!!!!
man i wish i had half of your dvd and blu ray collection haha great video.
Epic collection!
I actually did watch this while eating my bag of popcorn. Thanks for the entertainment!
@ChrisStuckmann I go by feeling and emotions, not numbers and alphabetical order. No system will ever tell me how to organize my movies!
@DVDCOLLECTORDANIEL its called motivate, the site for it is in the vid description.
@historian500 As long as I know what direction to look when Im in the mood for a certain movie, then it works for me. The reason I don't wanna organize to picky is because when I buy new movies, now I gotta movie a lot of stuff around.
@filmdumb Yeah I group by actor as well, as long as its in the same genera, Also Bay is an action director so all of his movies go side by side.
@monica369 Glad to hear, On a side note I cant eat pop corn unless its salted to the point of giving me a heart attack......Just puting that out there. Thanks.
@beautybudget88 ............ I had a really good joke for that involving college, but it would go too far. Thanks for watching pal.
@mercadojglb Now I gotta go back and redo the entire thing, all for Owen Wilson!
@MissFilmFour Thanks, yeah videos like this are what happens, when I cant sleep.
oh my god... dude.. your collection is freaking amazing :O instant sub
@kiddy2686 I liked that part. The music and the first person camera angle gave me goose bumps along with a lot of scenes in that movie.
Do you remember batteries not included great movie
@Ninkyo893 Yeah Genre is the only way for me, I need to know what section to look in depending on my mood.
Litterally reclined my chair to watch this masterpiece!
I had to stop the video after that intro just to finish laughing. 😂
love the collection.
@FTW7l8 I think Ive seen parts of on TV. I don't know if the deprecating part is humor anymore I think its mostly true to be honest with you.
@Ercolano78 Yeah i actually got rid of a lot of movies over the past few months, just keeping the stuff that matters to me...kinda.
"Give father what he needs, and open on up" Oh my God.
I will check into that, I book marked the page. Is it cool if I post links to new vids there?
@jknunley Hell boy 1 was in the super Hero DVD area, its there trust me.
@WWEfanJamieBlake They are making a real 4th movie with the original cast, its due out next year.
@CoreyBrownReviews Your your right, now I have to go back to the drawling board.
@CinetalkReviews I really got rid of movies I didn't plan to watch, yes I agree with your Christmas tree analogy. Yeah speaking of that I cant wait for Christmas.
@jakesnake244 Yeah but, how could I ever take it away from the other Batman movies.
Your Clint Eastwood impression sounds like the Dark Knight Batman
Another suggestion homeboy, is what I did. Sort them by company. Meaning Warner Brothers, Universal, Columbia. It says it on the bottom of the spine so its easy to see them. Love the collection too man.
@Riddler95 no, I own the dvd. Well maybe if I find it really cheap.
@thefrickenfilmcritic I said I thought I would hate it, but ended up liking it.
I am not used to pre- jersey shore John Flickster. He has the wizard of oz and A christmas story on blue ray & dvd near 4 years ago.
@stache05 Yeah it might make you feel better, it kinda did for me.
@joseph10704 I will get star wars on blu for sure, how can I not. Also the collection is still only 90 percent rights, but Im to the point where Im too tired to care and just want to watch my damn movies haha.
@sfighter991 I respect the first 2 movies, just not 2 movies I'm going to sit down and watch often.
@JarethTheCritic Hell yes, I need to get it!
@TheLApitfighter Yeah its a really overlooked movie, Bale was a bad-ass in that movie.
@DVDCOLLECTORDANIEL Hey thanks man, well as you can see I almost have no order. I would say go by genera.
@BookhouseBoy77 Thanks pal, I watched your rant about your TV vid a few times too haha.
@cruzruiz92 We talk all about it is a vid I did a week ago called Frick and Flick.
The hanging into the ironman helmet = Mint stuff man lmao gotta love that self deprecating humor. That's the way to go. Oh and John if you're looking to rid your collection of Rango you're more than welcome to pass it over here by the way have you ever seen Ronin?
@Scarecrow76 Doesnt everyone have one of those?
@x817x I cant keep it up that long.... really the only reason I don't want to do 20 min long vids is it takes sooo long to upload them and edit them.
@wetmovie1 Yeah I think the first one is kinda sorta ok, I like when they throw CD'S at the kid nappers.
@ChrisStuckmann Ha. I've put mine in alphabetical order as well. My brother called me a 'nob head' when he found out...
The Long Kiss Goodnight is really underrated, I agree. Very good action movie.
@BlindOwlProductions Yeah I felt that was needed.
The Dark Knight's opening scene gives it the right to be in the heist category.
@twocanplayatthat Yeah the brother Kenny reminds me of my cousin.
Very sweet collection and video ; - ) !!
@SeamusHobo I know its really bad and cheesy and I thought it went great with the video.
I have changed organization so many times i basically do it all alphabetical for ease of grabbing what you need. and only "section" is animated and boxsets split up from all others.
@1Switchfoot Batman Returns, Alice In Wonderland, Pee wees big Adventure, Sleepy Hallow.
sick collection bro...just started collecting myself...keep it up man you got fans on here ya know.
Point Break is my Favorite Movie Of All Time EVER, Nothing Beats it Cause you got Action, Surfing , Shooting , Sky Diving , Bank Robbing. If Some On Does Not Like Point Break Their Crazy.
His collection has grown, he has now.
I have to do this soon, as well, as I just got new shelves for my collection! I'm glad to see you organize by genre, too. Great Collection mate! top vid as always
Nice collection, wish I had the space to have nice storage like this haha. At the moment I just have a to z, but hwne I get another 30-40 I will start doing genre or something.
@90sStyle ..... I know.
@1Switchfoot oh and the 89 Batman too.
personally thinkthat shutter island is more of a suspense because I got it thinking it was horror but more of a drama suspense
@maxonfire67 Ive only seen parts of the shinning, so Im going to have a movie night and watch it soon. DRC is amazing!!! Its a great buddy road trip movie. Now I kinda feel like watching it.
you have a better collection of movies then NETFLIX
enemy at the gates, YES!
I have a strange organization system. I mostly group by genre like you, but sometimes I'll group by director/creator, sometimes by actor, and sometimes by subject matter. I have a tiny little section for serial killer movies, for example, and that's where I'd stick American Psycho.
@wislingsailsmen Only seen the dvd.
Cool vid indeed! I want to have a lot Blu-ray like you HAHA. I also want to buy more Blu-ray Disc but it's expensive in my country.
Anyway GREAT VID!!!

@nerdymarble Spike Lee is directing it.
Great vid John! i really enjoyed it :)
@ZombieZifiction Well about time I please you, you are welcome haha.
lol i'm glad you also categorize your collection by genre but to be honest in some cases i was yelling at my computer and saying WTF is that movie doing in that section lol. This inspires me to make the same vid now and make you suffer and yell
i swear i watch collection videos and search for blu rays to buy more than i do watching them
@voDkaholikkk NBK is or was fun to watch its was brutal, but not a movie I want to go back to and watch over and over while Im eating my frozen dinners.
Event horizon is deffinately a must have!
@thegoodestgamers WOW, I bet the chicks go crazy when you tell them that :)

@Bigal1982 Thanks man.
LOL I have Gran Torino in my comedy section. What do you think of the Shining? It's my favorite horror movie. Finally someone has Detroit Rock City, that's one of the most underrated comedies.
You have quite big collection. I also like to watch movies. I have dvd's about 500 and Blu-Rays about 100.
@ZemlakAttack I think I might move it to comedy, its just makes me laugh.
This video is 1 and half years old his collection has grown since.
nice collection, nice media room, nice entertainment channel
So I found Alien on DVD really cheap, should I get that or the Blu-Ray?
@Herc0gs I ask my self that all the time.
5th why am I doing this too, I have no life...
I would put American Psycho not just in a Horror Section but I would classify it as a Slasher.
I just recently got Point Break on Blu-ray. Freakin' love that film!
In addition to organizing them by genre, you should order then by title or release date.
Nice all around collection. I've got a fairly large collection myself. I keep mines in my (4) dvd and (1) Blu-ray changers. It really is an addiction. This video may inspire a future video of my setup.
Peace...Netm8kr
Nice video, I baught Hobo with a Shotgun on Blu-Ray and it's in alright movie. What do you think of that movie...???
No Alien Anthology? What is this MADNESS?
LMAO.
